College infrastructure is very good as it have all different type of required labs like physics lab, chemistry lab, etc. It also has library and the a canteen at the ground floor of the college and it also have ac in the classes.
Currently Im in the 3rd year of IT engineering and the academics is good as the faculty members are good and the curriculum teach by the faculty members are updated but not everytime. Most of the time they teach through projector.
Placement is average as not all students get placed most of the students faces problem during placement. If you want to get placed your cgpa should be good in every year and you should be active throughout the year.
The college infrastructure is overall good as its have Air conditioners in the classroom as well in the whole building and it has it’s own library. There were 2 buildings for engineering and it also has other colleges as well in the campus.
Currently i am in the first year doing engineering in computer branch and got selected through CET. I scored 94%ile and got selected and also got scholarships as well. The curriculum taught by teachers is always updated.
The placement cell is very good and very helpful if you want to get placed you should score 9+ cgpa in your exams. The highest package in 2026 was 51.72 LPA. The average package is around 8.62 LPA in 2026.
The Somaiya Vidyavihar campus (including management, science, commerce, arts, and engineering colleges) is praised for good classrooms, libraries, labs, Wi-Fi, sports, cafeterias, hostel facilities and a pleasant campus environment
Most students find the teaching faculty knowledgeable; professional courses (management, commerce, and IT) are seen as more up-to-date. Some reviews do call for better governance on attendance and enforcement of academic rigor.
Strong placement record: ~95% placement rate with highest packages up to ₹27–28 LPA and averages around ₹12–14 LPA. Recruiters include Deloitte, EY, Amazon, etc. Placement rates reportedly 70–95% with average packages ~₹4-10 LPA and occasional higher offers.
Management: Considering ROI (placement packages vs fees ~₹7–21 L+ depending on MBA specialization), many reviews consider it a good value for careers in business/finance. BoostMyTalent Commerce/Science undergrad: Fees are relatively affordable (e.g., ~₹14,000/year for B.Com) and students feel it’s worthwhile due to quality of faculty/campus. Engineering: If you secure good placements, value increases — but outcomes can differ by department.
Festivals & activities: Annual fests like KJSMF and Avenues add energy and opportunities for creative engagement
College infrastructure is very good as it has ac in overall college and the classroom is also good. It also have it’s separate library and canteen as well so you have everything in one college only and its very good
The overall academics is also very good as each and every faculty member is very oriented towards teaching and very helpful throughout the whole year and the administration office is also very helpful.
It also have a good placement as its average package for Computer branch is 8-9 lpa and for Information technology its 6-7 lpa on average basis and its one of the best college in mumbai for campus placement.
The college infrastructure is very good as i have done my engineering from this college and its one of the best college with good infrastructure and it’s very good college with good and best infrastructure
The academic is also very good as its one of the best college with good academics and the college faculty is very good and top rated as all the faculty members have done phd and most of the faculty members were good
the placement is very good specifically for the computer engineering and the average package for the same is 8-9lpa and its very good campus placement having one of the top placements in whole mumbai and pune
The college infrastructure is very good and very convenient as it's one of the best college for engeneering and i would suggest everyone to take admission in kj somaiya school of engineering for btech programme.
The academics is also very good and very convenient as the faculty is very good and very supportive. Faculty will also help you after the graduation amd they are very good. The administration office is also good
Kj somaiya school of engineering is one of the best for placement as well as the ratio of getting placed is very high in this college. The average placement is 9lpa for computer branch and it's very good.
As a first-year student, I find the infrastructure to be good overall. Classrooms are spacious, and most of them are comfortable for long lectures. Laboratories are modern, but since FY students have limited lab initially, not all facilities are used fully in the first year. The library is large and well maintained, though finding some reference books during exams can be difficult due to high demand. Wi-Fi is available across campus, but cannot be connected sometimes. The campus is clean and pleasant, which creates a good learning environment and food is very good and hygienic.
I am studying engineering in IT since it was my dream from childhood. Academics in the first year focus mainly on basics. Some professors explain concepts clearly and are approachable, which helps new students adjust. However, a few subjects feel rushed, and the teaching style is more theory-based. The syllabus is structured but can feel heavy for students coming directly from school. Self effort is very important to be job ready here.
Since I am an FY student, I have only observed placement-related activities from seniors. The placement cell seems active and organizes talks and guidance sessions early on. From what seniors share, placement opportunities are decent.Around 65-70% students get placed and highest package was around 58 LPA appx and average package around 9-10 LPA. However, placements depend a lot on individual skills, projects, and internships rather than only college support.
The fees are on the higher side(appx. 5LPA) compared to some colleges. The campus, facilities, and exposure justify the cost.Students need to make full use of resources to feel the value. Better access to labs and learning support in the first year would improve the overall experience.
Campus life is very active and engaging. There are many clubs, events, and activities that help students socialize and explore their interests. The campus is safe and well connected by transport. However, managing academics along with activities can be stressful at times.
As an FY student, my experience so far has been mixed but positive. The transition from school to college takes time, but the environment is supportive.
Great campus, including a lot of facilities for sports and extra curricular activities, all the labs have all sort of equipment which gives a better experience in learning. Living space are absolutely clean and hygienic
The curriculum of my college offers a wide range of subjects in my respective branch, including honours and minors in every branch which gives exposure to more subjects and would help in building a better portfolio.
Placements in the college are generally good and significant students are securing jobs in various sectors, with highest being 54LPA offered by google. We even have placement cell in our college which trains the students for jobs and internship
My course costs 4.5LPA per year, the college even offers scholarship to mechanical students scoring greater than 7.5 cgpa
KJ Somaiya has a huge campus comprising of different colleges in one campus. The Somaiya Trust runs school, junior as well as degree colleges. The engineering college is also located in the same campus. The infrastructure is excellent which include computer labs, auditorium and smart boards in every classroom. All the classrooms have AC Facility. WiFi is free and easily accessible. Campus is well maintained and clean always. There is a sports complex with variety of sports and games. Somaiya also has a clean and hygienic canteen and mess providing variety of food. Undoubtedly it is the best college in Mumbai in terms of infrastructure and facilities
I am studying Computer Engineering as I am interested in Technology. The teaching staff is excellent and the guidance available from the professor helps us perform well. As the college offers a BTech Degree that itself is shows that we are taught about the latest trends and technologies in the field of Computer. The education that I am acquiring will definitely help me get a suitable job.
Most of the students get jobs after completing their graduation from the campus itself. Some of the students who have excelled academically obviously get better placements. The highest package offered was 58 lakhs by Google from the Computer Engineering course. Average salary is 10 lakhs per annum. The college has always been supportive and encouraging in campus interviews
The fees of the course varies from year to year. This data is available on the official website of the college. Scholarships are also offered to the deserving candidates. As college offers the needed infrastructure and quality education it is worth the cost.
The college offers a variety of facilities to student based on the curriculum as well as co-curricular activities. There are several forums where students participate for example there are forums for coding, dance, sports, etc. Thus, students can select these forums according to their interests. The students, teachers and the support staff are supportive and encouraging. Location of the college is near Vidyavihar as well as Tilak Nagar station. There are ample security guards to maintain security in the campus
Its quite vast and sprawling, with expansive green lawns, wide walkways and multiple buildings spread across a large area. The campus feels open and endless, with variety of facilities and recreational spaces.
The academics is rigorous and intellectually stimulating, providing students with a comprehensive and challenging education. The faculty is experienced and dedicated bringing a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to the classroom.
The college placement process is highly effective, with a strong track of connecting students with top-tier companies. The placement cell works diligently to organize recruitment drives and even networking events to ensure students have access to wide range of opportunities.
The college provides state of the art facilities, experienced professors and a wide range of academic programs, ensuring that students receive a well rounded and impactful education.
The moment you step into the campus there is an undesirable energy in the air, with the students completely engrossed into various academic, social and extracurricular activities, which makes the environment full of energy.
