Matu Ram Institute of Engineering and Management (MRIEM) in Rohtak is a well-known engineering college and holds affiliation with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college offers courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in various branches of engineering. The admission process in MRIEM has been designed in such a way that only talented and deserving candidates-the best of the best-are taken.
MRIEM admissions in most northern institutes are counted down due to the national-level entrance exams for most programmes. The undergraduate programmes are particularly at the receiving end of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. As the examination is usually conducted numerous times a year, candidates keep checking the outcomes immediately after each completion. However, the gate to the postgraduate programme, mostly to M.Tech programmes, lies in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination and applicants' respective scores.
Criteria for MRIEM admissions differ from one programme to the other. The basic eligibility for a B.Tech-degree programme is a 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. MRIEM partially follows the JEE Main's criterion. Truth be told that GATE scores are vital for M.Tech MRIEM admission, and any student completing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology can take MRIEM admission in the same. This is an emerging hub for 8 different engineering courses, and, needless to say, it can receive up to 383 students who wish to make it their learning hub with all the disciplines provided by the Institute in order to attain balance towards learning.
The application process is different for every B.Tech programme at the school:
For M.Tech programmes:
MRIEM admission journey may vary depending on the selected programme. You’ll find a breakdown of each course and its respective admission procedure in the next section.
MRIEM has four B.Tech programmes on the anvil: Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. MRIEM admissions to these programmes are based on JEE Main scores. The intake capacities are as follows:
This school runs two M.Tech programmes:
M.Tech programme candidates go through MRIEM admissions, largely based on GATE scores. It is essential for candidates for the relevant A B.Tech or B.E. degree to apply.
In MRIEM, MBA is run only with 60 seats. Though MRIEM admission process may be conducted through its entrance exam, it might also take into account the scores of another national-level management entrance test.
An intake of 60 seats is there for the Bachelor of Computer Applications offered by this institution. MRIEM admission process for BCA may have different criteria, for which interested candidates should get it clarified from the institute.
Including photocopies of key documents with your application will help streamline the admission process and prevent unnecessary follow-ups.
