UIET Kurukshetra has the necessary infrastructure, including labs, library, Wi-Fi, hostels, and sports facilities. Basic amenities are well provided, though some areas like mess and classroom upgrades need improvement.
UIET Kurukshetra’s curriculum includes recent topics like AI and ML, showing efforts to stay updated..we have to do extra effort and learn new skills to get ready for jobs and future . curriculum isnot enough to get a good job.
The placement quality at UIET Kurukshetra is decent, especially for students with good academic records. Top companies like BEL, Infosys, and Cognizant visit the campus. The highest package reached around ₹11.4 LPA, while the average ranges between ₹4–6 LPA. Placement rates vary by branch, with around 40–60% of students placed overall, and higher rates for CSE and ECE. However, lower packages (₹3 LPA) are common for some branches.
The annual fee for a B.Tech program at UIET Kurukshetra is approximately ₹1.1 lakh, totaling around ₹4.2 lakh for the entire 4-year course. This fee includes tuition, development, and other institutional charges, but does not cover hostel or mess expenses, which are additional. Considering the affordability and the decent placement records—with average packages ranging from ₹4 to ₹6 LPA and top packages reaching up to ₹11.4 LPA— the fee structure offers good value, especially for students from economically weaker sections. However, for those seeking cutting-edge infrastructure or international-level placements, the value proposition may be more limited.
UIET Kurukshetra’s campus is spacious and green, with good sports facilities and a well-equipped library. Its best features include a Wi-Fi-enabled environment and separate hostels. However, some areas need better maintenance, and classrooms could be more modern. Students can participate in sports, cultural events, workshops, and seminars to enhance their skills and interests.
The campus infrastructure is decent: Wi-Fi across campus, well‐equipped labs, a central library with digital resources. Classrooms generally are clean, but many are non-AC, which is uncomfortable in summers. Hostel amenities are acceptable separate hostels for boys/girls, water purifiers, security, messes. Some complaints about mess food and variation between different hostels.
Faculty are often described as qualified, helpful, and approachable. Many have advanced degrees and are invested in student learning. Curriculum tries to keep up with industry requirements to some extent (e.g. newer topics in CSE, or AI/ML) though some students feel practical exposure or lab equipment could be better. Exam difficulty is moderate; those who are consistent tend to do well. Some concerns about strictness in evaluation, and delays or issues when faculty are absent.
Placement records are mixed. Some branches, especially CSE, report good highest packages (e.g. ~ ₹28–44 LPA in certain years) but average packages tend to be in the ₹4-7 LPA range depending on branch. Not all students are eligible (due to backlogs or low CGPA), and many feel campus recruitment drives are fewer compared to more prominent institutes. Off-campus opportunities become important.
Being a government institute under Kurukshetra University, fees are relatively moderate. For what you pay, many feel you get reasonable return. However, some believe that certain facilities (labs, hostel, mess etc.) still need improvement to match what you might expect from higher-fee private colleges. So in that sense value is good, but with caveats.
Lots of positives: green campus, good social interaction, cultural & extracurricular activities, a sense of community. Many students enjoy hostel life, campus festivals, interacting across departments. Downsides: some facilities (shops, markets) shut early; limited late-night services. Also, some labs or classroom maintenance issues. But these don’t seem to heavily dampen student morale.
Yes the college is having good infrastructure, facilities and equipments . university is have good classrooms with all facilities like fan and proper ventilation also its is having a very excellent library facilities, also there are many sports related activities and the hostel facilities are also good like rooms are good having good enough space in wardrobe mess food is also good also having wifi on every floor yes the living space is clean and hygenic and also food is excellent and also have a good menu for mess
I am studying there because it is the best and the toppest university in haryana and quality of teaching is good and also the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the fields yes it also makes us job ready as we are having many things to learn there
I am feeling good at this college and i am able to learn many new things and the quality of placement is excellent its 100% and the percentage of students is full and the highest package is maybe about 8-10 lakhs and average salary offered is 2-3 lakhs yes the placement process easy and pleasant uf you are having good skills and yes my College is too much supporting
I am paying 90 thousand per year and i feel that i am getting my money worth because i am getting all facilities and also many opportunities to learn new things and also having incubation centre there to strat up my own startup by the help of profeesionals
My college campus is having best features like it's beautiful and students engage in many activities like sports, discipline and many more students and teachers staff like the bestest there it's location is good yes it is safe also and it can handle emergencies too
Likes Our college provides good Wi-Fi facility and fully air-conditioned labs with good facilities of computers. Hostels are also great and the quality of food available in the mess and canteen is awesome Dislikes They are good, but the food available in the hostel mess is not much good.
Top companies visit our campus, which includes Indian Army, Infosys, Wipro, HP, Kalindi Rail, TCS, etc. This college is good for placements having a placement cell and provides many opportunities to the students for their best future.
The training and placement cell of the college is fair but still, the placement percentage is very less. Placements at this college are average, with about 40–60% of students getting placed. The highest package was 28 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average package was 4-6 LPA. The recruiting companies are mostly average companies or startups
UIET Kurukshetra were placed last year. The average package is 6 lakh per annum, and the lowest package is 3 lakh per annum. Many companies visit UIET Kurukshetra.
Good campus life lots of things to do
Research aspects Has many opportunities Booming sector Hands on practice Relate to healthcare secotr Industrial For business aspect Pharmaceutical food environment life science can be combined Practical works A specific research in medical sector Or can start a startup
The faculty members of the campus are very supportive and the canteen is also available for the students with good staff. Infrastructure for the students is best because it provides all the basic faculty members like Wi-Fi, labs, libraries, reading rooms, etc. for the students.
The teachers were very helpful for all students and all the faculty members are well-known and well-qualified from reputed universities. The semester exams in this college are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage in this college was 40% .
The highest package offered was 8 LPA and the lowest was 4 LPA. Almost all students got internships from this course and from various reputed companies. Many students are in this course and this is the best course at this college to get a good package job.
Very good college.
College infrastructure is not so much well maintained.Benches are good for sitting but some lab equipments are not available, cleaning is also not done on regular basis.Classrooms are non smart with fan non ac.
I m studying btech electronics and communication engineering. In this college quality of education is well. All Teachers give there 100% to students. And our circulum is updated every year as per govt guidelines.
On campus placement is difficult as no pf campanies visited less and no of students are more.Around 50%of students placed every year from our college.Average salary is 5lakh per annum. As teaching is good student can apply for off campus also.
Annual fee of college is 86999 which is a good one as compared to other private colleges. As we see from a money point of view it is worth it as amount is less but outcome can be more it depends on student capability.
Campus life is well but not so much very well.Campus contains all the sports, educational equipments and also give best explorer to outer world also.Location is super public transport is easily available.
I recommend the college as money is less, future outcome can be more.
The college campus is well organized, making it easy to navigate. The layout ensures that various departments, libraries, administrative offices are nearby. College building is well maintained. Classrooms are spacious.
The college faculty is cornerstone of its academic excellence. The professor and instructors are highly qualified, often holding advanced degrees in their respective fields. Their expertise and commitment to teaching create a dynamic learning environment.
College has established strong partnerships with range of industries, which significantly benefits students. Most of the students are placed before they complete their courses. This partnership also open doors to internships, co-op opportunities.
Its a government aided college so fee structure is very reasonable.
College is located inside KUK university. There are many departments around. Students from various department can interact with each other. Lot of cultural activities. Vibrant campus life, which goes beyond academic's pursuits to provide students with a well-rounded college experience.
An awesome college. I would recommend this college to students who aspires to become engineer.
all the facilities are there, no smartboards but teachers use projectors. and wifi, lift etc is there. incubation center is very good for developing startups and interviews. AC is there only in labs and classes are big enough
some teachers are good some are so so but if you show interest they are ready to cooperate and have dedication to clear doubts. its has less on job preparation but the subjects are fairly selected as i study B.Tech.
placements are so so in 2022 batch. max placement was 15 lpa but 2023 batch got better companies and placements. training and placement office manages everything well and it has a very good incubation center.
as its a government colloege its fee is less compared to others and you can also apply for scholarships many students got good amount of scholarship which cuts the cost of hostel or fee marginally. fee is around 40k per semester
kurukshetra university is big and ya it can be said safe. kuk security is there and there are not much activities. you can play sports swimming is closed from many years
The infrastructure of my college is pretty good. There are plenty of computer lab. But there is shortage of projectors as going with the technology we need more smart class.but all over the infrastructure is good
Our professor are much knowledgeable, and they have lot of experience .the base knowledge given to students is very strong and help in further .but our examination system is low they take much time for result.
The placement cell is working it full and a student get plenty of offer but they offer low package as desired by the student our on campus package is about 5-6 LPA but our of-campus is 28 LPA as out base knowledge is very good .
Being a government college the fees is pretty low and its about 35000-40000 per sem . The value of education is too high as given on this much amount of money so value of money if best
The college life is average because we don't have clubs and all that are common in other colleges but the time given to a student for self development is much. The campus is big and attach with NIT so its a place too roam but Kuk don't have anything else beside campus
My experience till now is good and its my first year may with time I can manage to clearfy my thoughts over my college but I would suggest this college over any other private institute as the output is high as compared to input
The college has all necessary infrastructure, all facilities and have excellent project rooms and laboratories to perform all the lab work. The living spaces like hostel are clean and the food provided to us in the mess also hygienic. The college has their own wifi and boards which give a cool range to use internet.
I'm studying in 4th year of mechanical branch and the quality of teaching is literally very nice. The teachers are well educated and have good in helping nature of students in their projects and in other things. The college updated the curriculum is every year and also organise new workshop in the field of new technology.
The average placement of our college is 3.6 lac per annum.Till the highest package goes was 28lac in amazon of 2 students of computer science branch. Almost every students which have qualify in nature got placed with more than average package. The college is very supportive in terms of placements.
The fee of course per year is different for different semester. As now it is on average 65k/year and i think it is an average fee which can afford by every student.
more than college life, i will say that living in hostel was totally a awesome moments. We enjoyed every festival with all religions that's the beauty of our college.
At UIET Chandigarh, in round 1 the closing rank for CSE branch in obc category is 44673. So you are likely to get admission in CSE branch.
As for IT, the closing ranks were upto 77739 and you are well inside this bracket. So you are a top contender for IT as well.
Given that your rank is quite low as compared to the closing ranks of these courses, you may stand a good chance of securing an admission in to:
- Computer Science and Engineering:very probable, since the cutoff rank is 51,699
- Information Technology: probable, since the cutoff rank is 59,781
HELLO,
If your rank is 54878 in EWS category in UIET Chandigarh is unlikely because In 2024 the closing rank for EWS category was 51049 something
However other engineering colleges and branches might be available in your rank
You might have better chance of getting other engineering branches in UIET CHANDIGARH such as ECE or IT
Suggestion - consider participating in State level counselling processes for other engineering programs
HOPE THAT HELPS!
