University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra was established in 2004 as a government institute under the management of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. University Institute of Engineering and Technology Kurukshetra provides many scholarships to the meritorious and needy aspirants. UIET Kurukshetra scholarships are Late Sh. Gurdev Singh Pabla Memorial Scholarship, Reimbursement of Tuition Fee and Transport Facility to Schedule Castes Students Studying in Technical Institutions in Haryana, ONGC Scholarship, etc. Students at UIET Kurukshetra can also avail the scholarships provided by the All India Council for Technical Education.
The offered AICTE scholarships are Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Technical Degree) and Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Student (Technical Degree). College infrastructure is not so much well maintained.Benches are good for sitting but some lab equipments are not available,cleaning is also not done on regular basis.Classrooms are non smart with fan non ac.

all the facilities are there, no smartboards but teachers use projectors. and wifi, lift etc is there. incubation center is very good for developing startups and interviews. AC is there only in labs and classes are big enough

Hello Aspirant,
Yes, the college that you have chosen is good in terms of return on investment and considering you have chosen mechanical in this college. So one thing keep in mind that you should be preparing for non core domain like data analytics and data science because not all will get placed in the core companies.
However in other colleges there are certain factors such as number of candidates appearing in the examination, previous year cutoffs and difficulty level of the paper which determines the cut offs.

As you belong to the obc category and your JEE mains is above 2L let me tell you that you can go for the state government colleges where seperate counselling is held for the state colleges.
In the state colleges you have good chances to get into a decent college but through josaa it is tough to get NITs/IIITs/GFTIs . If you can wait till csab round then you can go for colleges like NIT Mizoram, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Srinagar, NIT Agartala, NIT Puducherry and in GFTIs like Gurughasidas Vishwavidyalaya, BIT Mesra.
