All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination from a board recognized or established by central/state government through a legislation and a member of Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/Technical Vocational subject / Information Technology/ Infomatics Practices /Agriculture /Engineering Graphics /Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
If the seats of B. Tech. (Bio-Technology) remain vacant after the eligibility as above, the seats may be filled with the candidates having the following qualification also:- 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics/Bio-Technology/Biology/Computer Science /Technical Vocational subject
OR
Those candidates who have passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET), or any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)
The candidates who have passed two years certificate course from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.
Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST* or JEE Main. or CUET.
For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject.
(5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants)
