Interested candidate must have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode. NCTE recognized face-to-face teacher education programmes include Diploma in Preschool Education (DPSE), D.EL.Ed./D.Ed., B.El.Ed., B.Ed., M.Ed., D.P.Ed., B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed., Diploma in arts education (Visual Arts/Performing Arts), and B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed., among others.
Burdwan University's on-campus facilities include hostel facilities for boys and girls, a Health center with twenty-four hours health services, a library with a wide collection of books and e-resources, department-wise laboratories, canteen, and auditorium, among other things. The university has 11 hostels and also conducts various sports activities at the campus.
Burdwan University is feeding and nourishing more than 100 colleges and six graduate departments across six districts. These colleges are categorised into state aided, private non-aided and state government colleges.
