University of Burdwan offers admissions to a number of courses. Different admissions procedures are prescribed by the university for admission to different courses. Burdwan University admissions to L.L.B. is given based on marks obtained by candidates in the entrance examination conducted by the university. GATE scores are accepted for admission in the M.Tech. programme. The university provides admission to M.B.A. course based on MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT while Burdwan University admissions to other PG courses is based on either the merit of the students or the entrance examination conducted by the university.

• Students seeking admission in the UG courses of Burdwan University must meet the eligibility criteria for the course of their choice.

Burdwan University M.B.A Admission Process

• Students seeking admission in the M.B.A. courses of the university, need to appear for CAT/CMAT/XAT/MAT and obtain a valid score.

• Next, students should fill the Burdwan University application form.

• The university calls eligible applicants for a personal interview (PI) and group discussion (GD).

• Candidates are shortlisted and called for counselling.

• Admission is finalised after submitting the documents and paying programme fees.

University of Burdwan M.Com/L.L.M./M.A. Admission Process

• Students seeking admission in these courses must apply for admission by filling the online application form.

• 60% seats of these courses are reserved for the students graduating from the University of Burdwan.

• The selection of these 60% is made on the basis of marks obtained in the Honours level.

• The remaining 40% seats are open to all students.

• The selection of these students is done on the basis of an entrance test conducted by the university itself.

• A list of selected candidates is made based on the performance of the students in the entrance test.

• The final selected total students selected are called for counselling.

• The counselling is followed by verification of documents and payment of fee.

University of Burdwan M.Tech Admission Process

• Students seeking admission must apply online for admission.

• There will be three categories under which students will be provided admission.

  • A- GATE Score (70%), marks in B.E./ B.Tech (10%) and performance in the online interview (20%).

  • B- Performance in the online interview and work experience.

  • C- Marks of an online MCQ test (70%), marks in B.E./ B.Tech (10%) and performance in an online interview (20%).

• Candidates falling under category C will be considered for admission only if seats remain vacant after admission of candidates under Categories A and B.

• Final selected candidates will have to get their documents verified form the college and pay the fees.
