Do you think that a curriculum and pedagogy for soft and life skills can actually be created?

Yes and I think people have done this in the past. You have to make it something that is not just talked by academics, it is also talked by practitioners and that is what we do. You have to bring in practical tips from the workplace and combine it with the concepts and the academic framework that research and academia brings. So, what we try to do is build the world of practice, we make a teacher out of you because there are immense learnings to be added from the practical and work experience and life experiences that you have had which has not figured in the classroom. That change we are trying to make for every course we have six faculties, we make sure to have women faculty because that perspective is slightly different from me, we make sure some of them come from different industries so that;s one thing. The other is that the way you access people is less about knowledge but much more about the application of knowledge. Now these are not new ideas. We are a new institution and we are trying to bring new concepts.

Which one has more scope (Computer Science and Engineering ) or (Computer Science with Some specialization such as Big Data, Iot, AI, Cloud Computing)? What is the difference between their curriculum at SRM University?

Prashant D. Gaikwad 25th Jul, 2020

There is a more scope on computer science with some spealization such as data science, big data,AI, cloud computing, and machine learning. Because in IT industry software engineers are many posts like developer, QA enguneer, back end, front end engineer and full stack developer this are the post for only those who know any programming language in depth. And on the other hand there are some post like data scientist, data analyst, machine learning engineer, big data enginner this are high paying jobs and for this you have to be skilled in specialization like big data, data science, AI, etc.

And in SRM university they are giving specialization in data science, iot, etc so this is good initiative by SRM university. So those are intersted in data science, big data they can go for spealization degree.I hope this heps to you and thank you !!!

How does a Liberal Arts education(curriculum, learning method, etc) differ from a non-liberal arts education?

Yuthan N 5th Jun, 2020

Hi Ranauk,

Liberal arts colleges are specialized one.

It is focused only on well-rounded education and typically small in enrollment size. It has emphasis on undergraduate education. The education is  only as the classroom discussions. Not in the lecture level. There are only less competition to attain leadership. Sometimes these are described as miny-highschool because gossip spreads fast. But in non liberal National level recognition is provided. These are the basic thing about the liberal arts colleges.

Thank you

what will be curriculum and scope for dnb family medicine

rajaman9300 Student Expert 16th May, 2020

If you asking particularly about India then i must say that it is below average. It is not that Family Medicine is bad field but it is only advised if you wan to open your own clinic. Otherwise if you want to practice in any Corporate firm then i would not advise you to take up Family Medicine. It is not like that you are not getting your desired Stream hence taking up Family medicine, please don't do that.

Otherwise if you want then i am listing down few good institutions for this course:

Sir Gangaram, Delhi

Stephen's Delhi

MGIMS

Deenanth Mangeshkar, Pune

CMRI, Kolkata

Holy Family Hospital, Mumbai

All the best!!!

when will lpu start its course curriculum in 2020

Aastha jain 15th Jun, 2020

Hi

There has been no official intimation from the Government of India, when colleges can reopen or start for the incoming batches. With most entrance exams delayed to August end, the colleges would open in September at the earliest. However, nothing can be said as that depends on how the COVID situation evolves.
