Congratulations on securing AIR 283 in JIPMER 2019.Considering your question yes with the rank that you have scored it will be worth proceeding for counselling.The minimum percentile required for general category is 50th percentile.

Based upon the rank that you have secured you can get admission in JIPMER(Karaikal) Campus.For Puducherry campus it will be difficult for you to get admission.Last year closing rank for Puducherry campus was 156 while for Karaikal campus was 978.So you can see the differences.

Yes, definitely you are having chance to get a clinical seat in jipmer. As per my knowledge or understanding you have got 54 category rank and 1435 ovealov rank in jipmer. With these marks you are having some chances to get admission these. You should have to try for it.

Hopefully with that rank in AIIMS you may only get Newer AIIMS. Look, in Medical field you need to have a good practical exposure and for that your college must have large amount of patients. Patients only visit those hospitals which are older. 

So you must join that college which is much older and there is frequent patient visit. Like for All India Quota you can try in KGMC and other top colleges.

In Kerala, go for GMC Kozhikode, GMC Thiruvananthpuram, etc.

Better than GMCs of Kerala, I'll suggest you to join top colleges in India through NEET.

I am sorry to inform you that according to me you have no chance of getting into jipmer with this rank.First of all seats are very less only 200 and many seats are reserved for puducherry candidates. Also obc seats would be less and the people called are almost thrice the number of seats.

You rank is very much and exceeds far from that number so there is no chance for you to get into JIPMER.

You are surely qualified with 43 percentile as the minimum percentile is 40 for ST but sorry to say that, it is not enough to get a seat in any of the JIPMER. And yes, you'll be eligible for counselling, most probably in the final round which generally happens only in case of vacant seats(very few).You cannot participate for the 1st round as the memorandum says only the shortlisted candidates (ST) falling between rank 1-90  can only participate. 

Last year, the final round was held for 3 vacant seats each from UR and SC (no vacant seats for ST) and each and every qualified student, despite of their category were eligible which is very much difficult to get a seat.The cut off rank for ST in 2018 was 74 and only 9 seats are reserved for ST.

As you will be knowing that JIPMER Puducherry will release an official notice along with the JIPMER result  for the counselling. The notice will state the candidates invited for the JIPMER counselling , venue, date and time of the counselling, and documents required.

If you qualifyJIPMER  by clearing the cutoff and are also included in the merit list will need to report to the JIPMER counselling venue at the time and date specified on the official notice. The first step they have to undertake upon reporting at the counselling venue is to register their details.
