Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research MBBS Entrance Exam
Hello aspirant
I am very sorry to inform you that 74 % is a percentile too less to get any seat in a prestigious college like jipmer .
Jipmer us one of the most reputed medical college of the country and it's merit is very high each year particularly for mbbs ,hence it would not be possible for you to get a seat there.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
All the best
Hi Aarzoo,
I am sorry to inform you that you will not be able to obtain a seat in JIPMER with this percentile in the entrance examination. JIPMER is a highly reputed institute and offers limited number of seats every year and number of students competing for that seats is very high and the level of competition is also high. You need to score above 90% at least to increase your possibility of obtaining a seat there.
You can prepare well and appear next year to achieve more marks and increase your possibility

Hope this helps
Dear Aspirant
Soory to say that at this rank you are only qualified but could not get JIPMER seat in either of the colleges as per 2018's opening and closing rank for ST which was 3 - 14 for puducherry and 17 - 74 for Karaikal campuses and only total 9 seats are reserved for ST.
Hope this helps you.
All the best.
Only 37 seats (JIPMER Puducherry 28, JIPMER Karaikal 9) for OBC candidates are reserved which means only 37 students will get admission in either of the colleges. And according to the notice of shortlisted OBC students, the student ranking between 1-370 are eligible for 1st round of counselling which doesn't guarantees a seat.
However, in 2018, the opening rank and closing rank for OBC was 13 and 51 for Puducherry, 64 and 240 for Karaikal.
Concluding the information and following the 2018's pattern(can be changed this year), there might be a nil chances for you and the clearance of getting a seat in case of availability of vacant seats will be only after the 1st counselling.
Good luck.
Hi Shifa
As JIPMER gives admission on 150 seats it is hard for you to save a seat as your rank is quite high. Yes , if youn want to attend the couseling you can apply ,but it won't be of any profit.
All The Best for future .
Hello Isha!
It is really tough to get JIPMER MBBS with that percentile. Jipmer has very less seats and most of the seats used to be filled by Regional students. EWS certificate is not expected to impact too much on the cutoff scenario so it clearly seems impossible.
Hope that helps!
Looks a lot difficult bro, only the top 600 ranks get selected for counselling. The seats are so less that only 10x persons get selected for counseling and then there is further draining as well wherein only some Of the as per the seats available are selected. To be on a safer side u can say the top 140 ranks can have a good hope of selections.
You can rely on ur neet marks and can go ahead with MBBS, BDS, Bams or BHMS courses.
All the best for ur future.
Hi Rioqjsn.Hope you are doing well. it is very difficult to secure a seat in jipmer with air 11987 especially if you belong to general category.this is because only top 600 rankers end up getting a seat due to limitation in amount of seats.
hope this was useful
Dear Srujana,
According to last year's JIPMER cut off rank list for SC category, the opening and closing rank was 13-53 for Poducherry campus and 59-318 for Karaikal campus. So, its clearly not possible to get a seat in any of the JIMPER colleges with AIR 74000 rank.
All the best for future.
Dear Niharika
According to last year's JIPMER cut off rank list for ST students, the opening and closing rank was 1-14 for Poducherry campus and 17-74 for Karaikal campus. So, its clearly not possible to get a seat in any of the JIMPER colleges with 1300+ rank.
