JEE MAIN 2021 date Announced by NTA. But why they suddenly Removed this news from Official website???

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 16th Dec, 2020

Before it was put as an official notification on the NTA's website, The HRD Minister did announce that he will conduct another live session on the 17th with the Teachers, Parents and Students regarding issues of importance. Also no concrete decision was taken regarding the syllabus and so it must have been taken down. There will be a live interaction session on December 17th with the HRD Minister and the parents, teachers and Students. May be a decision will be taken then.  NTA has not released any official information regarding JEE Mains 2021 yet.But what we know so far is that JEE Mains will be conducted 4 times a year starting from February until May and Candidates can choose to attend any one of the sessions or all the sessions.  So please wait to hear from NTA or MHRD regarding this. The latest information is that there will be a review meeting on December 10th regarding JEE Mains syllabus and so then  both MHRD and NTA will take a call on the dates for JEE Mains 2021. NTA has not released any official information regarding JEE 2021 yet. It might be scheduled for February 2021 and June 2021 but the application process might begin a month or 2 late may be in January. So please wait to hear from NTA or MHRD regarding this.  To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate criteria. But if you want to join NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% only in your 12th. 11th marks aren't considered. And then to appear for JEE Advanced which is the gateway for admission to IITs, you will need to fulfill the 75% aggregate condition. Now it is 75% for General Category and 65% for Reserved Categories. So how much you score in 12th is what matters to secure your eligibility for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and JEE Advanced.

Im targeting 160-180+ marks in Jee Mains 2021...Is mock tests from National Test Abhyas (NTA) good & enough for me..?? pls reply..

ayanmukherjee045 10th Dec, 2020

Dear aspirant,

According to your question and taking into consideration that your target score for jee mains is 160-180 marks and you want to know if nta abhyas is good enough or not.

I would like to tell you that practice is important and you can solve papers from any coaching or nta and that would be enough.

The difficulty level is nta is not constant some of it is different and some of it is very easy.

I have 46 percent in 12th and from obc category. Am eligible, if eligible having any furure counciling in troble because i have seen from nta website that obc is eligible as same sc and st category 40 percent. So please help me.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 8th Dec, 2020
Hi

You have not mentioned the name of the exam regarding which you are asking but your profile suggest that you are a medicine aspirant so I am guessing that you are asking regarding Neet examination.

What's your aggregate in PCB? You have just mentioned that you have got 46% in 12th but is it your PCB aggregate % or your overrall class 12th aggregate %.

Neet eligibility criteria says that, to be eligible you must have passed in English and in both the theory and practical of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually with at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB ( in theory +practical) in 12th examination if belong to general category , or at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to Obc/ Sc /st

So, being a student from OBC category to be eligible you need at least 40% aggregate in PCB to be eligible for Neet examination and if you fulfill this criteria then you don't need to worry at all, you are eligible for Neet examination and after qualifying it you can participate in counselling and get admission too on the basis of marks obtained by you in NEET examination

For detailed information about neet examination go through our page for which link is provided below; -

will NTA reduce syllabus for jee(mains) 2021 ? please tell me

S. Saha Student Expert 30th Nov, 2020
MHRD did announce that the syllabus of Jee Main 2021 will be reduced due to this pandemic it would be difficult to complete the entire syllabus. To complement this, CBSE has reduced the syllabus by 30% from class 9 to 12. And it is expected that this reduced syllabus by CBSE will be retained for Jee Main 2021. However till now National Testing Agency has not released any notification regarding reduction in syallbus. For the reduced syllabus you can check this link http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/will-jee-main-syllabus-be-reduced The official syllabus will be released by the authority in due course of time. To help you in your Jee Main preparation, Careers360 has come up with Jee Main knockout package http://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/

Which is Better IIFT or IIM ? Which exam should i write CAT or IIFT NTA

Sarath Abayankar 3rd Jan, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

In order to answer your question, I’d like to begin by saying that all colleges are good in their own regards. Also, having said that, it is not advisable to club all the IIMs under one banner, given the advantage that the older IIMs enjoy having been established much earlier and hence having had the time and means to establish a reputation and an alum base in the industry. So, for the sake of this answer, we can split the IIMs into three categories – IIM ABC, IIM LIK and the new IIMs.

As far as IIM A, IIM B & IIM C are concerned, they would rank above IIFT on most people’s lists, except in niche cases where the candidate wants to do an IB course. So, it is not much of a decision and IIM ABC can be opted over IIFT.

Now coming to IIM L, IIM I & IIM K, there are can be merit for both arguments for both parties. Will the IIMs can boast of the brand IIM tag, IIFT can boast of international exposure and the niche IB course. So, the decision is completely dependent on the individual making the call. Also, one thing to be considered here is the fact that placements for both IIFT Delhi and Kolkata campus are conducted together. So, the batch sizes when it comes to a placement point of view is almost the same.

The last part, as far as the new IIMs are concerned, one thing that goes for them is the IIM tag. However, given their age, most of the new IIMs most certainly do not have the sway that an older IIM possesses. Taking into consideration the fees, the corporate competitions opened for the colleges, the companies coming to recruit and most importantly the average packages, IIFT seems to be a better choice in the short to medium run. However, the argument for the newer IIMs would be the fact that in the long run, the brand name might help the candidate. But this is not set in stone and might be a punt in the present condition.

Having talked about the colleges, the modes of getting into IIMs and IIFT is also completely different. The former requires CAT as a base score with a GD-PI-WAT round to follow, and the latter uses their own IIFT exam as a guideline to call people for further GD-PI-WAT process. Both are completely different exams even though their syllabus might seem same. So, the strategy has to be different. That being said, the initial preparation can be the same, given that the syllabus is somewhat similar. The specific preparation for the exams can be taken care of by attempting mocks and coming up with game plans for the said exams.

Cheers and all the best!

Anurag Khanna 22nd Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the category and rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs or any good GFTIs as per previous year's cut-offs through CSAB Counselling but yes I would suggest you to either sit for some state counselling because in some of the state government colleges you can get admission on such ranks or you can take a drop and prepare yourself for JEE-Main 2021 if you can afford and are eligible for JEE-Main 2021, and try to secure your category rank under 10,000 and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/?product=27&icn=knockout-jee-main-2021-january&ici=

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
