Female candidates can join Indian Army after completing their graduation. Combined Defence Service (CDS) is an entrance exam conducted to join Indian Army. The education qualification requirement is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized board. Age must be in between 19-25 years and candidate must be unmarried. Widow and Divorcee are also eligible to apply. The minimum height required is 152 cms for female candidates.

Two ways to join Indian Army.

1:NDA :

Eligibility criteria:

For a candidate to join the Indian Army as an officer through NDA, he must be not between 16½- 19½ years of age, while the course commences at NDA (as on 1st day of that month).

2:TES Army:

Other than NDA entry, 12th Science (Mathematics Group) passed students may also join the Indian Army as an Officer through the TES Entry Scheme.
