How to track the decline or incline of job opportunities when we graduate from clg?

Saurabh Yadav 22nd Apr, 2025

Hii,

To track the decline or incline of job opportunities after graduation, focus on a few key things:

  1. Monitor Job Portals : Regularly check job listings on websites like LinkedIn, Naukri, and Indeed. An increase in job postings indicates demand for certain roles, while a decrease might suggest a slowdown in that industry.

  2. Industry Reports : Keep an eye on reports from companies like McKinsey or Deloitte, as well as government labor statistics. These provide insights into trends in hiring, sector growth, and the overall job market.

  3. Networking : Stay connected with alumni and professionals in your field. They can share first-hand insights about job availability and market trends.

  4. Skills Demand : Pay attention to which skills are in demand by following online learning platforms and job postings. If there's a rise in demand for specific skills (like AI or data analysis), it often signals an expanding job market in that area.

Vedant Rathi 22nd Apr, 2025

Hi aspirant,

KCCET uses a 50:50 weightage ratio to determine student rankings, with 50% of your rank based on your board exam marks and 50% based on your KCET score.

You can calculate your score yourself, but for a more precise rank, it is recommended to visit the Career 360 KCET rank predictor.

Here is the direct link to the rank predictor.

I am obc ncl from bihar state...will i be eligible for obc ncl for delhi state?i have passed 12th from delhi

Afreen 14th Apr, 2025

No, an OBC-NCL certificate issued by Bihar will likely not be valid for OBC-NCL benefits in Delhi. OBC reservation is typically based on the candidate's state of residence and the list of castes recognized by that state.

Since you passed your 12th from Delhi, you would need to obtain a valid OBC-NCL certificate from the Delhi government to be eligible for OBC-NCL benefits in Delhi.

GOOD luck!!

i am doing my bachelors in B.S.C.(bio-3 year prog.) currently in 3rd year last sem is this possible for me to do mtech in civil enginnering somehow? can you guide me.

Sakshi Badoni 9th Jan, 2025

Hello Greetings

Pursuing an MTech in Civil Engineering after completing a BSc in Biology requires careful planning. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you explore this possibility:

Meeting the Eligibility Criteria

1. *Check the eligibility criteria*: Most MTech programs in Civil Engineering require a BE/BTech degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. However, some institutions may consider candidates from other disciplines, like Biology, if they have a strong foundation in mathematics and science.

2. *Look for institutions with flexible eligibility criteria*: Research universities or institutions that offer MTech programs in Civil Engineering and have more flexible eligibility criteria.

Building a Strong Foundation

1. *Take additional courses*: To bridge the gap between Biology and Civil Engineering, consider taking additional courses in mathematics, physics, and engineering. This will help you develop a strong foundation in the required subjects.

2. *Focus on relevant subjects*: Concentrate on subjects like mathematics, statistics, and computer programming, which are essential for Civil Engineering.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

1. *GATE exam*: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a common entrance exam for MTech programs. Prepare for the GATE exam in Civil Engineering or a related field.

2. *Other entrance exams*: Some institutions may accept other entrance exams, like the Common Entrance Test (CET) or the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGCET).

3. *Apply to institutions*: Once you've prepared for the entrance exams, apply to institutions that offer MTech programs in Civil Engineering and have flexible eligibility criteria.

Alternative Options

1. *MTech in Environmental Engineering*: As a Biology graduate, you may find Environmental Engineering a more suitable option. This field combines principles from biology, chemistry, and engineering to develop solutions for environmental problems.

2. *PG Diploma or Certificate courses*: Consider pursuing PG Diploma or Certificate courses in Civil Engineering or a related field. These programs can help you gain the necessary knowledge and skills without committing to a full-fledged MTech program.

Key Takeaways

1. *Research and planning*: Carefully research institutions and their eligibility criteria. Plan your next steps accordingly.

2. *Building a strong foundation*: Take additional courses to bridge the gap between Biology and Civil Engineering.

3. *Entrance exams*: Prepare for GATE or other entrance exams required for MTech admissions.

4. *Alternative options*: Explore alternative options like MTech in Environmental Engineering or PG Diploma/Certificate courses.

By following these steps and being mindful of the challenges, you can increase your chances of pursuing an MTech in Civil Engineering despite having a Biology background.

Have a great day
