MIT Art Design and Technology University also referred to as MIT ADT University, was founded in the year 2015. It was founded as a private university under the auspices of the MIT Group of Institutions. The University Grants Commission (UGC) and Council of Architecture have approved MIT ADT University.

There are seven faculties at MIT ADT University: the faculties of art, fine art, and performing arts; design and architecture; engineering; humanities and social sciences; management and leadership; maritime studies; and technology. Eligible students from the different departments are given MIT ADT University placements.

The 18 schools that make up MIT ADT University include the MIT Institute of Design, MIT School of Engineering, and MIT College of Management, among others. Students are given admission to MIT ADT University based on the competitive scores and the entrance exam conducted by the university.

MIT ADT University has numerous domestic and international partnerships with universities like the University of Agriculture, Krakow (Poland), and Federation University, and the meritorious students are given MIT ADT University scholarships to pursue higher studies at the university.

The courses at MIT ADT University are offered in Engineering, management, architecture, broadcasting and journalism, cinema and television, marine engineering, aerospace engineering, food technology, bioscience engineering, music, fine art, Vedic sciences, and other fields. The facilities offered by MIT ADT University include hostel accommodations, medical, sports, library, infrastructure for IT, cafeteria, and auditorium facilities. B.Tech students at MIT ADT University can apply for merit scholarships offered by the university. MIT ADT University merit scholarship can only be availed by students who will meet the eligibility criteria. The continuation of merit scholarship (B.Tech) for next year can be availed only with a satisfying credit score of 8.0 CGPA of the current year. MIT-ADT has one of the biggest and most beautiful campus amongst all the colleges in Pune.It has got all the facilities -big laboratories with all necessary equipments, 3-4 libraries(every department has atleast one library),wifi all over the IT building,big sports ground ,gym, basketball court, swimming pools etc.
