PSN College of Engineering and Technology, Tirunelveli Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college provides a separate hostel for boys on the college campus. For accommodating the boys we have more than 250 rooms to accommodate 850 students. Facilities in the Hostel are a Hygienic study environment in the room, Good ventilation, 24-hour water supply, Hygienic bathrooms, Hygienic food as prescribed by a dietician, Uninterrupted power supply, a separate Generator for Students, a Medical facility available with medicines provided to sick students, Gym facilities, Swimming Pools.

The college provides a separate hostel for girls on the college campus. For accommodating the girls we have more than 100 rooms to accommodate 500 students. Facilities in the Hostel are a Hygienic study environment in the room, Good ventilation, 24-hour water supply, Hygienic bathrooms, Hygienic food as prescribed by a dietician, Uninterrupted power supply, a separate Generator for Students, a Medical facility available with medicines provided to sick students, Gym facilities, Swimming Pools.

The college has a 16 -16-bed medical center, equipped with basic infrastructure that provides medical attention to the students and staff with the facility of two qualified medical officers and five full-time staff nurses at the medical center. An ambulance is available on campus for 24 hours. A separate medical care center is functioning under the same roof for the girls of our college. A 4-bedded medical center, equipped with basic infrastructure provides medical attention to the staff with the facility of a visiting qualified medical expert and physician and a full-time nurse on the campus. All the students are covered under a health insurance scheme to provide medical checkups in various famous hospitals at concessional rates.

The college library is functioning under the open access system and has a specialized collection of books, journals, online journals, CDS, Project reports, Model question papers, back volumes section, and internet facilities (Wi-Fi). All details of the library collections are fed into the computers and provide an online public access catalog (OPAC) to our users. The Digital library is well equipped with computing facilities and all computers are connected to high-speed internet facilities. Photocopying service is available in the library. Only library-related materials will be allowed to Xerox. The Library has a total collection of 60509 volumes (18060 titles) of textbooks and reference books and it has a collection of 3640 CDs & 1242 Nos. of project reports. 16 Nos. of National Journals & 17 No. of International Journals is available E-journals are subscribed from the British Council - online, DELNET - online & National Digital Library of India, Kharagpur.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has a wide range of software including C, C++, Java, Autocad, Mat Lab, Pro-E, ANSI C, Rational Rose, DB2, etc. All systems are networked and anyone occupying a terminal can access resources available in the network, barring security restrictions. The lab is adequately supported by peripherals like Printers scanners and other related devices, The central library is open 24x7 days throughout the year.

The college takes care to provide the students and staff a nutritious and hygienic food at our campus canteens. A variety of hygienic food and snack items include South and North Indian Meals, a Variety of Rice, chats, Chinese Foods, Cakes, Fresh Juices, Fruits, and Ice Creams are on the menu. Different varieties for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians are served. In short, our college canteens remind us of the ancient coffee houses in Greece... There are two canteens functioning on campus.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a strong transport system with a fleet of buses operating from our campus. They facilitate ease of conveyance for both students and staff. The buses ply to and from the prominent parts of the city of Tirunelveli and its suburban areas. We have good transport facilities for day scholar students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college is totally working on Wi-Fi enabled for students and staff with a dedicated bandwidth of 50 Mbps from AIRTEL and 20 Mbps from Nissband and a Broadband leased line BSNL internet connection of 16 Mbps.

The college has 24 24-hour CITY UNION BANK ATM facility that has been provided inside the college premises. Money transactions between the parents and their children are carried out with ease. Hostel inmates avail themselves of this provision more.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. Communication System Lab, Digital Signal Processing & VLSI Lab, Electron devices Lab, National Instruments Lab, PCB Design Lab, Digital Lab, Microprocessor Lab, Optical and Microwave Lab, etc.,
