This college have more than sufficient infrastructure. Hostel and classrooms are Air-conditioned with smartboards and wifi equipped . Sports ground for sports activities. Library is also huge and have all relevant study material.
Curriculum is tougher than other colleges and is updated regularly. I studied mba in human resource from this college . Teaching quality is great as the teachers have proven background experience. Classes and activities and balanced which help students in becoming knowledgable and job ready also.
Placements cell is there and also this college have a huge alumni network. Average package in this college is 15 lpa. Companies like , HDFC, infosys, zebronics visit our campus for hiring. College provides support in getting internships and placements.
Fees is low as compared to placement packages which provide atleast 2x ROI

The academic level of Panjab University, Chandigarh is very great. The teaching level of the university is very good, it comes in top universities of the whole country. The curriculum is updated regularly and includes all the recent developments.
The Panjab University, Chandigarh is one of the top universities in the country and has a great reputation. The university provides great opportunities to the students and bring in great MNCs to the campus.
The Infrastructure is decent as it is a Government university. Classes have projectors and seating facility is also decent. The buildings just look awesome from outside. Lush green lawns enhance the beauty of this college
The academics are good with great faculty and a good exposure in their respective fields. Everything is covered such as basic managerial subjects in first year and specialized subjects in second year. A lot of case studies are studied.
The Placements are quite great students are offered with roles such as marketing, finance and HR. the average package ranges around 10-12 lpa. A lot of companies visit here and almost allof the students get placed.
Fees wise this college is killer. Within 2 lakh you will be able to complete your MBA.
Campus life is great as it is in Panjab University. PU is most renowned university in Northern India
Yes my department have all the necessary infrastructure facilities. In our class Projector is there than black board is gher also We have AC in our class.Cleanliness and hygiene can vary widely depending on the location, management, and local regulations. It's essential to rely on recent reviews, inspections, and recommendations from trusted sources or, when possible, personally assess the cleanliness and hygiene of living spaces and food establishments to ensure a safe and pleasant experience.
I am pursuing my masters from Panjab university under the department named as University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh . And i am Pursuing my masters from University Business School Panjab University Chandigarh because in future i want toh pursue PHd thats why i am here for doing my masters. While I have a vast amount of information on a wide range of topics up to that point, I may not be up-to-date with developments in various fields that have occurred after that date.
Yes Placement cell is well doing. My department has the placement cell for MBA students who have cleared their CAT exM an pursuing masters . They get placed in a very well known companies. The quality of placements can vary widely between colleges and is influenced by factors like the college's reputation, the specific program, and the job market. It's essential to research individual colleges and their placement statistics for accurate information.
Per semester fee of my course is approximately 45000. But i think it should not be too much because in comparison with MBA students they are getting placements by pying a very less amount of fees.
Yes campus is having a very good environment.
Average
UBS has all the infrastructure facilities which a decent MBA college must have. Infact it is graded A++ BY NAAC in the year 2023. Although Smart boards are not there in every class rooms but they can shift your classes in smart boards room as per the requirement. You will not get the highest quality of class rooms, but it is quiet ok up to the government colleges norms. WIFI speed is 2.5 MBPS throughout the campus . Food is hygienic and very affordable.
Quality of teaching is very bad in UBS. If you are really an intelligent and dedicated student who wants their teacher to be perfect in all aspects, then you may get disappointed here. 70% teachers who will teach you in UBS are JRF OR SRF. And believe me they stand no where in front of IIM professors. Even professors of UBS are not that good in teaching styles. Curriculum is not that excellent as you should feel a top Mba college must have
Placement is always a hot topic in this college. Infact you are getting an average placement of 13 lakh just by spending 1 lakh fees. If you can compromise on quality of teachers and curriculum but you want good ROI with good exposure of a tricity then you can go for it.
Our college has a big campus filled with greenary, SBI ATM, Public library, Auditorium, electric bicycle and many more. Classrooms are quite big with AC and all. You'll find main road connecting different locations just the outside the campus.
I'm pursuing my MBA from this institute. I got to know about this institute from Times B school ranking and did some research through LinkedIn and had a talk with their alumnis who are working in reputed companies.MBA circulum is up to date which makes you ready to take on challenges.
Median package for the year 2021-23 is 13 Lpa. And it is increasing every year. More than 100 companies are coming to the campus like Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Dabur, Capgemini etc. Placement figures are real and more than 95% student get placed.
Value for money or ROI is one of the aspect that everyone keeps in mind while joining an b school and it is important to consider it. Don't listen to anyone if they say don't look for ROI(IIM is exception)
Campus is quite big and accomodate facilities like ATM, Student Canteen, Hostels find etc. You'll find good connectivity to chandigarh railway station. Location wise it is good place to stay as it is quite safe
Overall I would conclude it by saying that it is your money and make wise decision. You'll get same placement if not better in this b school. Rest is all up to you as to what you want to do
The University Business School is a government institute, the fee structure is according to the government instructions. Due to minimal fee charges, the infrastructure is not that much developed. They have basic facilities, but for any orientation or other big events, they do not have their own auditorium. The fee should hike to some points so that they would be able to upgrade their infrastructure, which should also attract the companies for the placement of the students for their dream careers
They provide an MBA degree, not a diploma or PGDM. Which is a plus point as well. But the on the other side of the coin they do not have their syllabus that much updated, that it should be according to the current aspects.
UBS has a 99 percent placement record for the final placements. The average package that students received is also very good. The main thing that attracts the students here is its ROI, as students have very minimal expenses during their entire MBA Degree program in comparison with other MBA colleges that offer only PGDM with similar average placements offers but charges 25-30 times higher than UBS.
The 2-year MBA degree at UBS is very low. According to my experience here, I even pay more for my BSc than that in MBA fees. The return that they provide with this is mind-blowing. The students need not to worry about pursuing MBA if they can't afford to much expenses of private MBA colleges.
I have been there in the Panjab university for the last 6 years and the environment that the university offers is one of the best parts of my life. The campus life that they have offers all-round development of the students
I recommend taking admission to UBS if you want to explore your career in management. UBS is student-driven organisation in which major role is played by students so that they can enhance their leadership skills, teachers guide them in their path
Hi,
In order to get a call for GD/PI round anything above 88 percentile (general category) may suffice, however the school is doing great year by year so nothing specific could be said. As such there is no percentile that can guarantee you a seat in UBS Chandigarh, since a lot depends upon your GD/PI as well.
UBS has different observed different admission pattern over the past few years. However to ensure your slot in UBS you must score at least 90 percentile if you don’t belong to any reserved category. If you have sports/defence/SC-ST-OBC Qouta then as low as 60 percentile can also get you through the admissions. SGC is another category but it usually closes at 80 percentile.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
Hi,
University Business School (UBS) offers 6 postgraduate courses in Business and Management. UBS Chandigarh has seen phenomenal growth in the past few years setting an average package of 10 lakh per annum. The accepted scores for admissions are CAT and PU entrance exams.
Based on CAT 2018 scores, the cutoff for the general category is 90%, the cutoff for the ST category is very low which is 59%.
I hope it helps.
