My college has a very lively and spacious campus that gives you a real engineering-college feel. The buildings are well maintained, classrooms are neat, and most departments have good lab setups with updated equipment. The library is one of the main highlights because it has plenty of books and a calm environment for serious study. The campus is full of greenery, which makes the overall atmosphere fresh and peaceful. Common areas, canteens, basketball courts, seminar halls, and computer labs are all clean and easy to access.
Faculty is experienced and they explain topics in a clear, structured way. They also guide students with projects, internships, and competitive exam preparation. Some teachers are strict, but in a way that helps students stay disciplined. The overall teaching quality feels dependable and supportive.
Placements are one of the strongest points of the college. Top companies from software, electronics, and core sectors visit the campus every year, so students get a wide range of opportunities. In my department Most of them are highly qualified and have good teaching experience. They explain topics in detail and make sure students understand concepts properly. Doubts are cleared patiently, and teachers also guide students in projects and competitive exams. Many professors are involved in research and encourage students to publish papers and participate in conferences.
College training and placement cell prepares students with mock tests, soft skills training, and interview practice sessions. IT and CSE branches have the highest placement records, with many students getting jobs in companies like Infosys, TCS, Amazon, and Wipro. Core students from Mechanical, Civil, and EEE also get opportunities in reputed industries. The average salary package is around ₹4–5 LPA, while top students have secured offers of over ₹20 LPA from multinational companies.
My college is one of the most beautiful and spacious campuses in Hyderabad. The classrooms are modern, large, and fitted with smart boards and projectors to support interactive learning. Each department has well-maintained laboratories with the latest equipment, especially for Computer Science, ECE, and Mechanical branches. CBIT Hyderabad has a big campus with modern classrooms, well-maintained civil engineering labs, and a good library. Surveying equipment, drawing halls, and computer labs for design software are available. The campus is clean, though some old blocks need more updates.
Placement chances for civil students are fewer compared to IT or CSE branches. A few construction and infrastructure firms hire through campus, but many students prefer pursuing higher education or government exams. Placement training sessions are still helpful.
Placement chances for civil students are fewer compared to IT or CSE branches. A few construction and infrastructure firms hire through campus, but many students prefer pursuing higher education or government exams. Placement training sessions are still helpful.
The fee is higher than many state colleges, but students benefit from quality labs, expert teachers, and exposure through projects. For civil students, the value depends on how actively they explore internships and industry connections beyond campus placements.
Life at CBIT is vibrant with fests, cultural programs, and sports tournaments. Students from all branches join together in clubs and events. The atmosphere is friendly, and civil students also take part in competitions that improve both technical and social skills.
CBIT Hyderabad is one of the reputed institutes for B.Tech. Civil branch students get proper guidance and exposure, though placements in core companies are fewer. With its reputation and learning environment, it offers a strong base for future growth.
Wi-Fi is not available throughout the college. Wi-Fi is not even available in classrooms. We have LAN in labs, that's it. The quality of food is decent. It's better to go to other private hostels nearby rather than the college hostel. Daily, the same routine food. Sports facilities are available and are supported
Teachers will help only if we ask them. They are qualified and have decent knowledge about the subject, but not in-depth knowledge. Semester exams are not so simple. The curriculum doesn't make the students industry-ready. Teaching quality depends on the teacher; a few teach well, while a few don't.
There are decent placements. Around 50% are placed. The least package is as low as 3 LPA. The highest package is as high as 60 LPA. Top recruiters are Qualcomm, Infosys, Flipkart, Amazon, Asian Paints, TCS, etc. I don't have much idea about the top roles. Students get internships from outside very little; we get them from college.
It's an old college with all the old infrastructure but it's good actually. Now our college is under construction, where they are building washrooms so hygiene will be good in our college in the future. Hostel food is average-just stable. We have a small clinic like thing in our college. Sports and games are supported and given importance.
Faculty members are average. They help only if we ask something, and they don't have much knowledge about the domains they teach, which is what I feel. Semester exams can be completed by students one week before the exams. They are medium but if we don't study, it's difficult to crack. Curriculum is good. We can select electives and subjects that are good but they don't involve much deep understanding.
Decent placements are there in our college, and if we have skills then we can crack good placements. The highest salary is 60 LPA, and least is as less as 3 LPA which are given by TCS and Wipro mass hiring. FAMG companies are the top recruiters along with Qualcomm and JP Morgan. I don't have much idea about top roles.
Hi,
For admission in the CBIT, JNTUH, or VNR VJET AIML branch, you will need to score around 96-68% in JEE Mains with your EWS category and BCE certificate. For CBIT and VNR VJET, cutoff goes to around 97-98% while in JNTUH, you might need slightly higher marks, around 98-99%.
Hope it helps!!!
No, a 53 percentile in JEE Main is unlikely to guarantee admission to CBIT Hyderabad. CBIT Hyderabad has a high cutoff for engineering programs, particularly for popular branches like CSE and IT. While CBIT does have a B-category (management quota) through which you can be admitted, the cutoff for this category is also competitive and requires a good score in JEE Main
Here's why a 53 percentile is unlikely to be sufficient:
Competitive Admissions:
CBIT is a well-regarded engineering college in Hyderabad, and its programs, especially CSE and IT, are highly sought after, leading to competitive cutoffs.
Higher Percentile Required:
To get into CBIT through JEE Main, you'll typically need a percentile of 80-90 or higher, depending on the branch and category.
EAMCET as an Alternative:
A more promising path to admission at CBIT is through the Telangana State Engineering Entrance Test (TS EAMCET).
B-Category Admission:
While CBIT has a B-category (management quota) that accepts JEE Main scores, it's not a guarantee, and it's also competitive. You would likely need a significantly higher percentile than 53 to get into this category.
