I am from hyderabad, telangana. After jee mains 2026, is there state counselling held for colleges other than nit, iiit and gfti like cbit ,vnr vjiet or jntuh if not then what is the process of getting a seat in colleges(except nit iiit or gfti) that accept jee mains scores

Yes, after JEE Main 2026 there is a state-level counselling in Telangana but it works differently from JoSAA. For IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, counselling is done through JoSAA/CSAB based on your JEE Main rank.

For Telangana state engineering colleges, admissions are mainly through TS-EAMCET counselling. However, many private colleges also fill seats using JEE Main rank without TS-EAMCET.

So, as a Hyderabad student you can participate in JoSAA and other state counselling also.
