      Dr. G. S. Melkote Rural Polytechnic in Koppal and is an AICTE approved institution, which offers various courses in diploma program in engineering.       Degree-wise Admission Process

      Diploma in Civil Engineering: This program also takes care of 60 seats and admits students on the general admission process of the institute based on SSLC marks, particularly for the technical subjects. It has a duration of three years and a total course fee of Rs. 39,780

      Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: This is also similar to that of Civil Engineering with an intake of 60 students. The admission is based on merit in the SSLC examination, particularly considering marks in relevant subjects. The program runs for three years with a total fee of Rs 39,780.

      Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This is a program reduced to a slightly lower intake of 40 seats. However, the admission process still applies to this program as with the other diplomas; the marks achieved in SSLC are considered important. The "period of the course is three years with a total fee being Rs.39,780".
