Government Polytechnic, Tumkur Admission Process

Government Polytechnic Tumkur admissions 2024 are conducted as per the guidelines issued by the Department of Technical Education, Karnataka. The seats at Government Polytechnic Tumkur are filled through centralised online non-interactive counselling conducted by the DTE. The total number of seats at the institute is 360 (60 seats for each of the branches). 10% of the seats or 36 seats are meant for lateral admissions into the third semester.

Admission will be based on merit in each category of reservation
50% seats are reserved for different groups of the society. The remaining 50% of the seats are filled on the basis of scores in class 10.
