The college was established in 1948 for the educational upliftment of the Sindhi community. The campus size of Jai Hind College is spread over an area of 1 acre of land. see the eligibility criteria states that ,to admission to the Bachelor of Science Degree Course, a Candidate shall have passed XII std from Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent or recognized education board and secured not less than 35% marks in aggregate at one & the same sitting. since it mentioned that at one and same sitting, candidates who have got compartment and again appear in next year are not eligible. but if you have applied as regular candidate in 12th exam this year with fresh registrations you are eligible to apply.

The college has an on-campus bank facility, which provides ATM services 24X7. Jai Hind College in association with Union Bank of India collects student fees, provides DD facilities and opens free accounts of students for scholarships and other general-purpose.
