Established in the year 1948, the college started with offering courses in Arts stream. Currently, the college offers courses in Sciences, Commerce, Journalism, Travel Management, Management studies and IT as well. The college became an autonomous institution in the year 2018 and has been accredited in the 3rd Cycle of NAAC with 'A' Grade with a CGPA of 3.52 on 4. The college offers various scholarships to meritorious students and deserving candidates. Some of the Jai Hind College scholarships are Sumitomo Scholarship and Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme. To avail these scholarships, students have to meet the scholarship eligibility criteria. Jai Hind College scholarship eligibility criteria for Sumitomo Scholarship is 65% or above marks in the last appeared exam. This scholarship is disbursed to 30 deserving candidates. To avail another Jai Hind College scholarship, that is Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme, students should be permanent residents of Maharashtra or should belong to Maharashtra state or Karnataka State border and annual family should lie between Rs 2.50 lakhs to 8 lakhs. After meeting the eligibility criteria, students are entitled to the scholarship amount.

the college building is well maintained and have all basic facilities for students . the classrooms have inbuild ac facility and wifi for lectures too. smartboards are provided in every classroom . overall it’s good.
Infrastructure is very less. We have only two buildings but they are well maintained and with high amenities. We have all the facilities like wifi, lift, canteen, gymkhana etc. Hygiene is well maintained in our washrooms
The college offers comfort and convenience to students. The place is very clean and hygienic at all times. The library is great with resources from all around the globe. And the canteen has amazing food. The best part is marine drive is just across the road.
Jay hind college has closed its admission form on 18 June 2022. The application forms were to be submitted in online mode. The merit list has been displayed already on 21st june 2022. The merit list have been displayed on the college official website. Now there are no new dates which have been announced by Jay hind college for admission to 2022 2023.

see the eligibility criteria states that ,to admission to the Bachelor of Science Degree Course, a Candidate shall have passed XII std from Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent or recognized education board and secured not less than 35% marks in aggregate at one & the same sitting. since it mentioned that at one and same sitting, candidates who have got compartment and again appear in next year are not eligible. but if you have applied as regular candidate in 12th exam this year with fresh registrations you are eligible to apply.
