college with average facilities and average placements

      College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is average to poor. Almost everything is inside one building, which makes the campus feel congested. Classrooms have smartboards and whiteboards so they are good. Many computers in the labs are outdated and slow. The library is there and is quiet and good and has all books available. Wi-Fi often stops working. The canteen is clean, but options are very limited.

      Academics

I chose Information Technology because of career opportunities. Teaching quality depends on teacher to teacher, some are good but some just teach theory. There is very little focus on real-world applications. Lab sessions are routine based. The syllabus is as per MU almost but does not perfectly prepare students for current industry requirements.

      Placements

Placements are not reliable. Only around 65% students get placed every year. Most companies like TCS,Infosys, etc visit but good companies are limited, with average placement like 4 LPA while higher package is 13 LPA to IT student. The placement process as heard by seniors is basic and students have to do hardwork on their own for finding job.

      Value for Money

The yearly fees is around 1.80 lakh per year, which feels high considering the placement results.expected better facilities and stronger career support.

      Campus Life

Campus life is restricted since campus is not very big. There are no festival celebration and fest happens once in a year which is good. Student engagement is there in clubs, committee, etc. The area is safe and easy to travel since it is nearby chunabhati station and has waking distance

      Structured learning with good environment

      College Infrastructure

The setup of the college is straightforward and practical. Lecture halls are airy and comfortable enough for daily classes and have smartboards all around in all class. Departmental labs are present, but several machines and tools feel old and could be replaced with newer ones. The library provide a quiet atmosphere for study, but availability of seats is limited. Cleanliness is maintained.

      Academics

I chose engineering to develop thinking inside me. In the third year, coursework becomes more subject-oriented. Teaching quality varies from faculty to faculty - some instructors clarify doubts well, while others follow a textbook-centric approach. Classroom learning focuses more on concepts. Practical understanding largely depends on how much effort students put outside lectures. Practice is necessary for confidence building.

      Placements

Career opportunities through campus recruitment are not very good. Approximately 60-70% of students secure placements. The average package ranges approx ₹4 LPA, while the top package reached is ₹13-14 LPA. The placement team arranges basic training sessions, but outcomes depend more on personal preparation.

      Value for Money

The yearly fee is roughly 2 lakh. The cost is acceptable. However, upgrades in lab infrastructure and more internship opportunities would enhance it.

      Campus Life

Student life on campus is calm and structured. There are limited large celebrations, but smaller academic and cultural programs take place during the year. Students interaction is friendly, faculty members are available, and staff is cooperative. The surrounding area is secure and easy to commute .

      Steady Experience with good facilities

      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is good enough.Has 2 playground for cricket, football, etc and has volleyball net also, tabletennis is also there in bcr and gcr.Turf is there for somaiya students.Classes are good enough and has smartboards but some don't work.Library is good and has well amount of books but is small so becomes full sometimes hence no place to sit.Food in canteen is well and hygienic.

      Academics

I am studying engineering IT but i wanted CS branch... I am studying this because i am interested in how coding works. Quality of teaching here is moderate.Curriculum is updated but not fully.Students have to do extra projects and internships for becoming job-ready.

      Placements

Quality of placement as answered by passouts is moderate to good. Depends on student to student. The one who has more internship and projects has more chance to take job. 65-70% of students gets placed.Highest package offered was 14LPA to IT student oncampus.Average salary offered is approx 4LPA.

      Value for Money

Cost for per year is 1.85 LPA approximately. The money is worth if used properly by Student.

      Campus Life

The college has 2 grounds,Turf,TableaTennis, Vollyball net,Open canteen,Lift,WiFi which makes it good butt sometimes open canteen is full ,wifi is not working well, lift is not working, so these are negative points.Students can engage in committees and clubs here. All staff and teachers are well in behaviour and students are also good.Location is near chunabhatii station hence easy for commuting.

It was actually an amazing experience in the college

      College Infrastructure

The college has all the basic things like smartboard, whiteboard, etc. needed for studies. It also has all the equipment needed in labs.we also have 2 sports grounds and 1 turf area for sports.Labs are well equipped but sometimes PC's dont work. Rooms are neat. The library is not so good since it is small but has good amount of books. The canteen is clean and affordable and hygienic, but food choices are very very limited.

      Academics

I chose the IT branch because it has good career scope and many job options. Some teachers explain very good but some don't. Curriculum is very much updated with modern technology.Lab work helps, but real learning happens when students practice on their own which helps them to be job ready.

      Placements

The placement process is average to good based on student to student. Around 70% students get placed every year. The average salary is about 3-4 LPA, and highest package goes to 12-13LPA for computer and IT branch on campus based on skills and internships. I'll sit for placement next year since I'm in TY currently.

      Value for Money

The yearly fee is close to ₹1.75-1.80 lakh. The cost feels okay for academics and placement support.

      Campus Life

College life is boringg here. There are not many big celebrations, but small activities and programs happen sometimes. It has 2 big grounds to play but open canteen is very small to sit and eat. Students usually spend time in classes or labs. Teachers are friendly, and the area around the college is safe and easy to travel.

Great Faculty, Good Academics and Average Placements

      College Infrastructure

The college building has all required facilities for study. Facilities are good and working properly except sometimes there can be few technical issues here and there. They have their own hostel but the fees is very high. Sports ground is also available and well maintained. Classrooms are fine but simple. IT labs are available, though few systems are slow.

      Academics

I am studying in IT Department because it gives many good job options. Quality of teaching is good, their knowledge is good enough except a few teachers who just read from their notes. Curicullum is updated by latest technologies and new teaching methods are introduced for the better understanding of the students.

      Placements

Quality of placement is not very good here. The highest package offered here in IT was Rs 13.5 LPA. The average salary is around Rs 4 LPA. Nearly 60% of students are placed every year. And the remaining percent of students opt for higher studies or off-campus placements.

      Value for Money

Fees is Rs 1.8 LPA and keeps increasing for next batches. So I personally dont think its that worth the money

      Campus Life

Campus life is quite enjoyable. Big events are rare but small fests and technical events keep the college life happening. Students and teachers are friendly and the location is pretty safe and convenient to travel.

KJSIT has a small campus but has 2 big grounds. Almost all academic work is done in a single building. Classrooms are maintained well and has smartboards for using which work well. IT laboratories are available, but some systems take time to start and work. The library is peaceful and good for reading.Wi-Fi is provided, but it works properly only sometimes. The canteen is hygienic, but food variety is less.

      Academics

I chose Information Technology because i thought it has wide range of job-openings.Some faculty members explain topics clearly, while others focus on theory. Practical learning depends a lot on students. Lab sessions are held, but real understanding comes from projects.

      Placements

Placements for the IT branch are fair. The placement team conducts basic training for interviews. About 60% of students get placed every year and some go for hugher studies while some have their own job. Companies like TCS,WIPRO visit. The average salary package is around ₹3-4 LPA, and a few students get package like 8-10LPA while highest is 13LPA. It is purely based on skills and internships.

      Value for Money

The fees per year is around ₹1.85 lakh. The fees is acceptable as compared to other colleges. However, better lab systems and more placement opportunities would improve the overall value.

      Campus Life

Campus life is quite good.Large college festivals takes place like SURGE and sports events, clubs and small student activities happen regularly. The crowd is friendly, teachers are approachable, and the college location is safe and well connected(nearby station is chunabhati) by transport.

      Campus Life

      Others

      College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at KJSIT is practical but limited. Most academic activities take place in a single building, which makes common areas busy between lectures. Classrooms are tidy and functional along with smartboards in it. IT labs are available, but some computers struggle with newer tools and software. The library is quiet and useful for regular study. Campus Wi-Fi is available. The canteen maintains hygiene, but food options are few.

      Academics

I am studying Information Technology because I want to apply it to real-world applications. As a TY student, Some professors explain concepts clearly and encourage questions, while others are more syllabus-driven. Teaching is mostly theory-oriented, so students need extra practice to gain confidence. Lab sessions are conducted regularly, but deeper practical exposure depends on self-study, projects, and online learning.Self effort is very important to crack good job.

      Placements

Placements are very competitive. The placement cell is active and organizes aptitude training and mock interviews. Companies like TCS,WIPRO,Etc. mainly offer software and IT-related roles. Around 60-65% of students get placed depending on preparation. The average package is around ₹4 LPA, while higher package has gone to IT student of ₹13LPA. Internships, projects, and coding practice make a noticeable difference.

      Value for Money

Decent IT branch with scope for skill growth

      College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is sufficient for daily academic work but has certain limits. Most departments operate within a single building, which makes movement and space a bit restricted during peak hours. Classrooms are clean and usable. IT labs are available, but some systems need upgrades to handle newer software smoothly. The library is calm and helpful for studying. Campus Wi-Fi exists, but the connection is inconsistent and cannot always be relied upon. Smart boards are also available in almost all of the classes. Food available in the canteen is also good and hygienic

      Academics

I am studying Information Technology because I am interested in how software systems, networks, and applications work in real life. As a TY student, subjects are more focused on core IT concepts. Some teachers explain topics clearly and help with doubts, while others mainly focus on finishing the syllabus. The curriculum gives a basic understanding of IT, but practical exposure is limited in some subjects. Lab sessions are conducted, but students need extra practice, self-study, and online learning to build strong technical skills.

      Placements

Placements for the IT branch are average but competitive. Companies visit the campus for software and IT-related roles. The average package is around 3.5 LPA, while higher package has gone to 13 LPA in campus. Students with internships, certifications, and good projects have better chances during placements.

      Value for Money

The fees is approximately 1,82,000. However, academic support and placement assistance make it reasonable for students who actively use the available opportunities.

      Campus Life

Campus life is simple and structured. Since there is mainly one building, open spaces are limited. Large fests happen, and technical clubs and student activities keep students engaged. The student crowd is friendly, teachers are approachable, and the location is safe with good transport connectivity.
