I’m studying B.Tech IT at KRCE. The college has a clean and calm environment. The classrooms are okay — they have projectors and whiteboards. Our department labs are well maintained and have the software we need for coding, networking, and database labs. The library has both physical and digital resources. You can find e-books, past papers, and journals. Wi-Fi is available, though not strong everywhere. The canteen is decent, and the college provides good transportation facilities to nearby areas.
Academically, KRCE is very structured. The syllabus is followed properly and internal tests are taken seriously. The IT department faculty are friendly and supportive. If you attend classes regularly and ask questions, they’ll help you for sure. Many of them also guide us with certifications and coding platforms. Mini projects and lab exams are done with proper support from staff.
Placement training starts in third year. We had sessions on aptitude, group discussion, technical rounds, and communication. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and some local startups visit regularly. If you’re consistent, you can definitely get placed. The department also supports us in off-campus drives.
For the fee we pay, we get a good return in terms of education and placement training. Hostel and bus charges are separate but manageable.
Campus life is quiet. There are a few events like tech symposiums and cultural fests every year. It’s not a very outgoing college, but perfect if you want to stay focused on your career.
KRCE has well-maintained buildings and facilities for students. The IT department has dedicated labs with properly functioning systems, internet, and the necessary software for coding and development. Classrooms are neat, spacious, and equipped with smart projectors. There’s a digital library section that helped us with journals and technical references during final year projects. Wi-Fi works well inside academic blocks, but is average in hostels. The campus also has indoor game areas and a common auditorium.
Academically, the college is structured and staff members are very serious about student performance. Regular tests, assignments, and attendance monitoring are part of daily life. The curriculum follows Anna University standards. Some faculty go the extra mile to guide students with certifications like NPTEL, and they also support students preparing for off-campus placements or higher studies.
The placement cell is active and gives importance to training. Sessions start from the fifth semester and include aptitude, communication, and technical rounds. Many IT students got placed in Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, and HCL. Some even cleared rounds for higher-level roles in startups. Placement percentage is around 75% for IT.
For the tuition fees charged, the facilities and placement support make it worthwhile. Additional charges like bus or hostel are common, but reasonable.
Campus life is quiet and professional. Cultural fests happen once or twice a year. Strict rules limit freedom, but it’s helpful if you’re focused on academics and career growth.
The infrastructure at KRCE is decent and clean. The IT department labs have updated systems and working internet most of the time. Classrooms are spacious with whiteboards and projectors. There’s a dedicated space for the digital library, and students have access to e-resources like IEEE journals. Wi-Fi is available, but it’s better in the academic blocks than in hostel areas. The college also provides transportation for day scholars, and there's a good canteen with hygienic food options.
The academics at KRCE are structured and strict. Most of the IT staff are qualified and follow the Anna University syllabus. They take regular internal assessments and assignments seriously. KRCE offers good placement support, especially in the IT and CSE departments. From the fifth semester, we had regular aptitude sessions and mock interview practices. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, and even a few startups came for campus recruitment. A lot of students from my senior batch were placed, and many got offers from service-based companies. They also allow us to attend pooled campus drives in nearby colleges.
The college charges a reasonable fee considering the facilities and placement support. Hostel and bus fees are separate, but overall it is affordable for a private college.
