BSCOER follows the system of admission based on merit, taking into account primarily the marks obtained in the appropriate state level or national level entrance examination.
The admission process at BSCOER commences around May to June for the academic session commencing in August to September. The admission to undergraduate programs is carried out based on the score from the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). For the postgraduate courses, admissions are based on the scores from the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
The MHT CET is usually conducted in April-May with results being declared in June. Thereafter, JEE Main is conducted multiple times, usually held in January, April, and May sessions, but the time schedule changes every year. The GATE will be in February, further with results being declared in March. All the candidates are encouraged to check the official websites of respective examinations for detailed information regarding the date and application processes.
