What is Information Technology

A student holding a degree in Information Technology can work as an IT Engineer responsible for operating computer systems, software, servers, computer networking or network securities. The programme focuses on the theoretical and technical aspects of designing, developing, researching and testing software as well as digital hardware. Information Technology is designed to teach students about various fundamental concepts of information security, web systems, computer networking and software engineering. The programme covers subjects like programming, mathematics, and operations among others.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For UGCandidates passed in class 12th examination with minimum qualifying marks.
  • For PG: For Candidate holding Bachelor of Engineering or B.Tech in Information Technology or B.E./ B. Tech

It doesn't matter what you have studied in class 9 and 10.What actually matters is what you have studied in class 11 and 12.For admission in any engineering course, you should have studied Science stream (PCM) with from a recognized board in class 11 and 12th.After completing class 12th, you can appear for various engineering entrance exams like JEE mains,BITSAT,VITEE etc and based on your performance in those exams you will get admission.

btech/ b.e in computer science

bachelor in computer application.(bca)

bsc in computer science

it would be best if you go for b.Tech or bachelor in engineering course, SINCE IN INDIA bachelor of technology in computer science has wider job scope and in near future it has wide growth.
