Hello Ranjani sanjay,
If you have a solid interest in both biology and maths, an exceptional engineering pathway to explore is Biomedical Engineering because it combines concepts from biology, medicine and engineering to create and implement solutions in health-care technologies like systems for medical devices, prosthetics, and images. Other good options would include:
These fields allow you to apply your strengths in math while exploring the biological sciences in real-world applications.
Dear Candidate , Here are some of the best fast - return career paths - based on skill demand , earning potential and entry speed : - Clinical Research / Medical Coding / Pharma Marketing . - Bioinformatics / Data Science ( with biology ). - Paramedical Courses ( example : Lab Technician , Radiology , OT Tech ). - Pharmaceutical Sales / Medical Representative. - MBBS Abroad ( If willing to invest and study hard ).
Hello there,
With 92% in your Class 12th board, getting admission in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Sector 128 Noida, depends mainly on your JEE Main rank, as admission is based on JEE Main scores and board marks.
In previous years, the closing JEE Main rank for CSE at JIIT Sector 128 was around 1,40,000 for the general category. Board marks alone may not guarantee admission without a competitive JEE Main rank.
Recommendations:
Participate in the counselling process and check your JEE Main rank against the cutoff.
Consider related branches like Information Technology or Electronics and Communication Engineering if CSE cutoffs are high.
Keep backup options ready in other colleges.
Your board percentage is good, but focus on your JEE Main performance for better chances.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
Hello Sanjana,
B.Sc. in Microbiology is a three-year undergraduate degree focused on the study of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and algae.
The course covers topics like genetics, biochemistry, immunology, and microbial physiology. It prepares students for careers in healthcare, research, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and environmental science.
After B.Sc. Microbiology, you can pursue higher studies like M.Sc. Microbiology, biotechnology, or related fields, or work in labs, hospitals, industries, and research organizations.
Admission usually requires completion of 12th with science subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Dear aspirant,
Yes. You can still get admission through CUET with only Biology, but your options may become limited . Some universities and courses allow admission based only on domain specific subjects like Biology, especially for programs like B.Sc. But, many colleges also require the General Test or a language subject. It depends on the university and the course you’re applying for . Check the eligibility criteria on the official websites of CUET participating universities. Focus on colleges that clearly mention Biology as the only required subject. But remember that your admission is possible but your choices may become fewer.
Good luck.
Hello,
You have good marks in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, but your overall percentage is 57%. For NEET, general category students usually need at least 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). So, you are eligible for NEET .
For CUET and paramedical courses, eligibility depends on the specific course and university. Many paramedical courses accept 50% or more, so you should check the exact criteria for each course.
To get admission in BHU, JNU, or DU through CUET:
First, register and appear for the CUET exam.
Score well in CUET as per the cut-offs for the course you want.
Apply for the courses you like during the university counselling based on your CUET score.
You can apply for D-Pharma, B-Pharma, or other paramedical courses if they are offered and you meet their eligibility.
Hope it helps !
Hello aspirant,
Eligibility criteria for NEET
The minimum percentage required in 12th for NEET is separate for each category. NEET eligibility marks in 12th to be considered only for PCB subjects. The criteria is as follows,
UR[general] - 50%
OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
PWD - 40%
Eligibility criteria for CUET
The educational qualifications for CUET UG,
Eligibility criteria for Paramedical courses
The academic requirements for paramedical courses vary depending on the level of the course. For certificate and diploma courses, most institutions require candidates to have completed 10th or 12th grade from a recognised board, preferably with science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Some reputed institutions may have minimum percentage criteria ranging from 45% to 60%, depending on the specialisation. For instance, a Bachelor of Physiotherapy might require at least 50% in the 12th with PCB subjects.
Hence, You are eligible for all the exams, whether it is NEET, CUET or any Paramedical course as you meet the required eligibility criteria.
Always remember, No matter what percentage, no matter what my numbers say in the sense of points, assists, rebounds and steals, it's always been about winning.
I hope this helps.
Hii,
Unfortunately, CUET doesn’t offer corrections after submission, especially for subject selection. Missing Physics even though you had it in Class 12 means you may not be eligible for related courses that strictly require it like B.Sc Physics, Engineering, B.Sc Genetics, etc. However, you can choose courses where Physics isn't mandatory, check if the university allows submitting an additional subject.
Some universities may interpret your application flexibly, so reach out to their admissions offices promptly.
Hope you will find it helpful!
