are hostels allotted for 2nd , 3rd and 4th year btech students in campus , or they have to stay at pg ? , since i've read that only 1st year students get hostel in collage

Kindly mention your college name to get precise answers . moreover let me tell you with example in bhu varanasi most of the students who get admission with good rank allotted hostel before anyone or you can say hostel allotted according to ranks once allotment is done rest of the candidates names are in waiting list if any candidate fails to submit hostel fee due to any reason their allotment got cancelled and hostel alloted to the next candidate in waiting list.
You will only get hostel if it is vacant You need to keep an eye for the students who are not interested in hostel room once it get vacated you should apply immediately as soon as possible.hope it helps
