See , It depends upon Institutions that they will return your documents or not ,But in many Universities like Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical sciences and Research and in Indraprastha University, they generally return the original Documents.
In few Institutions you should have to submit the application form for getting Original documents back.
Talking about your college than, you should have to ask to the faculty members of your college , you will help you with this .
Nevertheless , most of the time they will return the original documents.
