Got homewwork. few doubts. answer plzz. 1st question. TSA of cuboid of 12 m, 8 m and 9 m.
Hi Dear,
A cuboid is a three-dimensional figure having 6 rectangular faces. To find the surface area of a cuboid you need to add the areas of all six faces of cuboid. Following is the standard formula to find total surface area of the cuboid:
TSA = 2 (lw + wh + hl)
Putting the data in above formula you'll get your answer as 552.
good luck
Dear aspirant,
To calculate the TSA of cuboid first we have to know it's formula.
Formula to find the TSA of cuboid is:
2*(lb+lh+bh)
Therefore, area of the given cuboid is:
2*(12*8 + 12*9 + 8*9) (m)sq.
= 2*(96+108+72) (m)sq.
= 2*276 (m)sq.
= 552 (m)sq.
Hope this helps!
Hello Atharva!
A cuboid has 6 rectangular faces. To find the surface area of a cuboid, add the areas of all 6 faces. The formula for finding the TSA of a cuboid becomes:-
SA=2lw+2lh+2hw-------(1)
We have, l= 12m, w= 8m and h= 9m
So, according to the formula, we get:-
TSA= 552 m^2 (using formula (1))
So, the required TSA of the given dimensions is 552 m^2.
Hope your doubt is cleared!
