The admission authority will release the cutoff for top B.Tech branches of NITs for the admission of candidates in different NITs through JEE Main.
Factors determining the NITs cutoff for top B.Tech branches
- Total number of applications received for the admission in the institute
- Total number of candidates appearing for the JEE Main exam
- Number of B.Tech seats available
- The difficulty level of the JEE Main 2019 exam
- Previous years’ cutoff trends

National Institutes of Technology or offer admission for 50% seats on Home State Quota basis and for remaining 50% seats on Other State Quota basis. Home State Quota*– Candidates belonging to the particular state where an NIT is located come under home state quota.
State quota will help to the candidate because the competition Is low as compare To National Level..
suppose If you are at 10th position in national Ranking then You are competing with 9 more people for a single seat..
But all the candidate will not belong to same state..so When You belong to the particular state in which NIT is located than Your competition to Get That NIT is very low..So Definately the probability of getting seat is higher..
