Hi Aspirant,
A bachelors degree in computer science,engineering or game development is the least requirement to become an Artificial Intelligence(AI) programmer.
For larger companies and organisations,they may prefer the masters degree over the bachelors degree.Also,you need to have a firm grasp of the language C++,STL,Perl, Perforce and other tools which are quite profiling.Also,an API like OPENGL is essential.
Currently,do your best in JEE MAINS and advanced.
Settle down with a good college where you have good competition,exposure and faculty.Then simultaneously work on all the credentials said above to reach your goal.
