Hello,
If you are an SC (Scheduled Caste) student with a family income less than 1 lakh per annum, you are exempt from paying the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) and the Provisional Admission Fee (PAF) during the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes). This exemption aims to facilitate access to higher education for economically disadvantaged SC candidates.
