I have got 94.6% in 12th cbse board with PCM.I want to take admission in Du.My best of four is 95.5 Can I get a good Arts college with this

Hi Aspirant, For BA , a n aggregate of 55% marks or more in English and combination of three best other subjects from among the following: any language subjects (core/elective) from List A, Economics, Geography, History, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.

You have a nice score in your class 12 th boards examinations. But if you want to pursue arts being a science student then you would have to deduct 2.5 percent from your best of four aggregate and now it is 93 percentage. At 93 percentage and if you belong to the unreserved or the general category then you won't get any of the North campus or even good colleges of the south campus for pursuing arts . You might get a girls college like gargi but that too is very dicy you would prolly get maitryei of the south campus. You should wait for the actual cutoffs to get the idea of the College's you would actually get in.

Khushi you can take up the same course at some other university a lot are there in Delhi itself. Talking about Central Universities you have Jamia Millia Islamia ranked 12 by nirf MHRD 2019 even above the Delhi university. You can compromise by taking other courses like history honours or something of that sort .
What if I will take bsc ?
I'm still too much confused .....

Yes Khushi they have a minimum percentage for giving off the semesters admit card falling below which you might even get a year back.

Congratulations on the percentage! You did a pretty good job. At your percentage, you can get top colleges like Hindu, Ramjas, Kirori Mal, Gargi, Miranda House etc, if not in the first round, then definitely in the 5th-6th round. You can get Deshbandhu college, Daulat Ram College, Sri Venkateshwara college in the first couple of rounds. Do keep an eye on the availability of seats and wait for the later rounds.

Mam is there any rule of percentage deduction while stream changing??Like from science to arts...

Khushi, if you did not have honors subject in 12th then 1%-5% might be deducted from your top 4 score, depending upon the course. In your case, it'll be around 2%. Do keep an eye for later rounds cut off of DU, you'll have correct idea then.
