I want to know whether questions of similar type from previous years Cat paper gets repeated or not?Or it just tells the level of difficulty

CAT is one of the important exam and has a good amount of difficulty involved in it.
Yes the questions get repeated but its not every year. It was seen that sample papers from the year 2004-2008, questions to come in the exam is good.
The most important thing is to improve accuracy and speed in this paper so practice in a manner you don't get stuck for long.

In terms of difficulty the level changes every year and can vary from easy to tough. There was a good difference in difficulty level in CAT 2014,2015 and CAT 2016 with CAT 2015 was perceived relatively easier by candidates.
Although the difficulty directly reflects in scaled scores(total marks obtained) and percentile. If the paper is difficult you get good percentile even in lesser scores as percentile are relative.
