If I got 82 percentile in jee 1 and my friend got 85 percentile in jee 2 will his rank will get less than mine or it will be separate merit

Jee mains paper 1 and jee mains paper 2 is completely different paper.So the results of the paper will also be different. Both paper have their own merit list. As you and your friends has given different paper so rank of both of you will be different .
