In my gap certificate, the session had been written wrong by mistake. Can I correct this with pen myself or do I have to make a new gap certificate?

In any official/government document, once the signature of the officials has been done, you cannot make any changes on your own. If you do so, the document will be deemed forged and not valid anywhere. The company/institution related to the certificate can even file a case against you.
It is better if you apply for a new certificate and not make the changes on your own. It will put a question mark on the credibility of the certificate and even you.
