should I take computer science engineer after intermediate
Dear Sehan
According to me you can prefer Computer Sci. after your intermediate. For this you need to excel in Mathematics, science and few coding languages. You also need to have a good score in your entrance exams so as you can get the best college to study with good placements.
In India if you see only a Software Company recruits most of the engineers irrespective of your branch. If you have good software knowledge though being in hardware stream like Electronics,Electronics and Telecommunication,Mechanical,Electrical Engg. will also prove beneficial to you in terms of placements. Even these trade students gets placed in software company.
But if you are oriented only for gaining knowledge purpose without being interested in placements and jobs then you are free to choose any branch of your choice.
In computer sci. you can learn Scripting and coding languages, along with Internet of Things(IoT) , Artificial Intelligence(AI), and many more which are the latest requirements of the cooperate world. But mostly (not all) Computer sci. engg are found the most now a days with no jobs in hand. Reason is that they don't go out of the box which other branch students do (except Comp.sci).They study software skills as well as their own trade which makes their bio data strong as compared to comp.sci. Thus they also perceive the same level of jobs as comp.sci student gets.
Therefore, if you get computer science in a good and reputed college its well and good but if you don't get you can also look for Electronics and ECE field.
Thank You.
