Schools generally test a student on the curriculum they completed in Class 2. The focus is on foundational literacy and numeracy. Most reputed schools ( CBSE , ICSE , or State Boards) follow a similar pattern covering four main subjects.

English (Communication & Grammar)

• Reading: Unseen passage comprehension (simple stories or poems).

• Grammar: Nouns (Common, Proper, and Collective).

  • Verbs (Is, Am, Are, Was, Were).

EVS / Science (Awareness)

• Human Body: Names of body parts and the five sense organs.

• Nature: Parts of a plant, types of animals (domestic, wild), and their homes.

• Social: My Family, Festivals, Means of Transport, and Community Helpers (Doctor, Teacher, etc.).

4. Hindi/Regional Language (Basics)

• Vyakaran: (Noun), (Gender), (Plural), and (Opposites).

• Writing: (Make sentences) and simple paragraph writing like " " (My Introduction).
