• Candidate must have practiced as Advocate, Attorney or Pleader in the high court or subordinate courts.

In order to become a Judge you should complete your LLB and then apply for the job profile of Judge. There are many entry level qualifying exams for the post. Also you need to be a advocate even if you don't practice it. • The age of the candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 35 years.
• Candidates must have completed an LLB course of either 5 years or 3 years.
• Applicant must be a citizen of India.
• Candidates must have qualified the Judicial Services Examination which includes Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and an interview.

Following are the steps to become a judge inIndia:

• Complete Higher Secondary Education (12th Grade)

• Pass Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) with a good score to get admissions to under-graduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) law programs.

• Crack State Judicial Services after successful completion of the graduate degree for recruitment to subordinate judicial services, especially for the post of Civil Judge and District Judge.
