what can I do after qualifying NEET

NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. Now after the results have been announced and the merit list has been released, the respective Counselling authorities will announce the schedules for registration. Though the dates might be different, the process will be similar. You need to choose the colleges that you want to join. You need to lock your choices and the seats will be assigned by the system based on merit cum preference. And then you will have to download the allotment letter, complete the document verification. And then if you are fine with the College, you need to visit the College and then pay the fees and join the College. If you do not want to join the college, you can participate in the subsequent rounds of Counselling. The Counsellings will happen at All India Level and State Level. If we are talking about MBBS, Private Medical Colleges do not participate in All India Counselling and the seats are filled through State Counselling alone. And for appearing for State Counselling you need to hold the domicile of that particular State. Or else the only other option is through Management Quota. Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.

It is not clear in your question what you want to do after NEET. NEET-UG is a competitive exam for admission in various Undergraduate medical courses like MBBS, BAMS, etc. If you get the cutoff marks, you will get a chance to do these courses.

After qualifying NEET Examination you can get Admission in medical colleges for following courses:-

• MBBS
• BDS
• AYUSH COURSES like BAMS, BHMS etc
• Veterinary courses i.e BVSc

In some States like Maharashtra through NEET Examination you can even get into paramedical courses , bsc Nursing, BPT etc
