what does first shift and second shife mean in BCA program

Many colleges have 1 shift as there regular morning colleges and second shift as ther evening colleges as per my knowledge there is no such course or faculty difference in both shifts also you will have same placements criteria for both shifts but mostly students prefer morning one as it is convenient to study.
