What is the starting salary for ECE in TCS and INFOSIS?
Hello,
For a fresher the starting packages are less in these firms as they are mass hiring companies. By mass hiring I mean to say when Infosys came to my company it took 200 people from my campus (though I was not eligible and later cleared techm).
Let me give you a comparison:
- Techm : 3.15 which after deductions is roughly around 19,575. I have worked in techm and it's my personal experience that the in hand package is not good but for starters this is not bad as you get ample opportunities to learn and grow in this field.
- Infosys : My friends who joined Infosys were offered 3.25 and called to the mysore campus where everything was provided by infy itself during training (you must have heard stories about the famous mysore campus). At that time they were given around 13250 which later was increased to 20,500.
- Wirpo : This companies offers the least starting package 2.75 which during training period gives around 15k and after training gives around 21k.
Out of these three the best would be TCS for a few reasons. They give you a comfortable job with appropriate work. You can have a work life balance plus do good work. TCS has a sense of job security plus the appraisal cycle is good in comparison to these two. Ample leaves and no hassle to avail the same. (all of this is relative and may vary from person to person but this is the general trend I have seen with people working in TCS)
The ideal scenario for a fresher to start would be get the training from Infosys, work for a few years and switch to wipro. Polish your skills, enjoy the work environment and finally switch to TCS for a comfortable life.
P.S. I started working in techm, switched to Aon and finally joined a startup. My learning graph went downhill in Aon but I have compensated that in my current company. Techm was a second college to me with quite a few learnings. Enjoy the training period and don't worry about the package as with a good skill set you can switch and get a good hike anywhere you want.
