What ranking is needed in Jee main??

Sukhendu,
To qualify for jee advanced you need to jee main rank of around 2L(approx).
But in that rank you won't be allowed to roam around NITs or other good colleges accepting jee main rank.
In order get admission in lower NITs you still need to get the jee main rank of around 40000-50000.
