What shall we do to get good marks in physics in which we are not strong?
As per my knowledge physics of 11th and 12th class is not so tough. You just have to concentrate on some basic formulas which is very important not only for passing 11th ,12th but also getting good marks in JEE.
If you are a CBSE student than you have to follow NCERT first, get the proper weightage of chapters by which the Board paper has been set . You have to select easy topics so that you can gain some confidence that physics is not tough than you should solve some previous year question based on the topics you study so that you get some expertise in that topics .
After solving simple topics increase your reach and solve some more complex topics and gain some knowledge. After that you should follow some topics which are damn sure to come in exams you can find such topics in previous year question papers or mock test on Internet.
At last if you are not able to clear the concept than you can use YouTube to clear your doubts.
I hope this will help you,for more queries please feel free to ask me.
Thank you
Physics is practical + logical kind of subject. You need to apply logics in understanding it and think in a practical way for it's applications.
Many students find it tough because they learn Physics and run behind the theory part for scoring-- resulting to which they never score more and thus hate the subject.
In order to study any subject, what requires the most is to show interest towards it . If you'll not grow interest for that.. then you'll find it tough and boring which will effect your entire result and that will be because of one subject only. So, what you need to do is.. run behind the subject- determine yourself that you'll do greatttt in it and understand it well. This way your interest for the subject will rise and so you'll sit for more hours for studying it.
Now How to study Physics.!?!
For this you need to keep the basics strong and then only it'll be easy for you to understand the concepts well. Know the concepts- the applications of the concepts as it is very important to know the applications because from a single topic.. many types of questions can be prepared by only twisting the conditions. Mainly for the entrance exams- the applications working is most important.
Make notes while studying- write formulae in single page and revise regularly. It'll help you till the end for easy and quick revision of any chapter that you study.
Once your concept is clear- then start question practicing/ MCQs practice. The more you'll practice.. the more you'll learn. This will make your concepts more clear as well as strong in your mind for long time. Practicing maximum number of questions will boost your confidence. And this way you will solve the questions correctly in less time. For question solving- time management should be there.
Both speed and accuracy is to be maintained especially during the entrance exams as you'll get less time and so many question-types to solve.
List out the important chapters/topics from which maximum number of questions are asked every year. Plan your schedule accordingly and set daily targets. Try to finish it before time and the rest you can do revision + practice.
Important chapters/topics-
Electrodynamics
Modern Physics
Mechanics
Optics
Heat and Thermodynamics
Waves
SHM
Books to be referred- The standard material - NCERT should be referred first and then any reference book.
For basics- refer HC Verma.
For question solving- DC Pandey, Universal Errorless > these books have good question levels.
Do not refer so many books, instead go for quality and standard material. Hope you're getting my point.!
Prepare well and study smart.!
Hope this helps.!
Good Luck.!
Read the textbooks of your respective Board and Standard, understand the concepts then go on solving the sums.
There are many doubts which usually arise in Physics so make sure you clear them as soon as you can.
Don't have backlogs in the portion and in solving of doubts.
Prepare a timetable, follow it and be confident.
