An intensive property is a property of matter that does not change as the amount of matter changes. Examples are boiling point, pressure, molecular weight and density. Let us try to understand this, let us consider that I gave you 1 litre of water and asked you to boil it and measure it's boiling point, and again asked you to measure boiling point of 2 litre of water . And as a result you found that boiling point in both the case is 100 degree Celsius. So now it's clear that even when amount of water is increased, the boiling point remains the same and so boiling point is an intensive property as it doesn't vary when amount of matter is changed.
