which type of information is displayed on the digital storage oscilloscope DSO screen. ? wave form, image and text, spurious pulses, glitches and transmission errors
Dear Manoj Kumar
DSO (Digital storage Oscilloscope) is a device which stores and analyses signals. The signals are converted into digital format rather than analog one. This device is used as it has storage, display, advanced trigger and measurement features.
The information displayed on the screen of DSO is in the form of Digital information which includes information in the order of 1's and 0's.
The DSO takes the input signal stores them and displays the signals visually as well as numerically.
1. Wave form - It is a graphical representation of wave. On X-axis there is time and on Y-axis there is Voltage.
2. Image and text - The 2D image processing can be done by astrophotography which is guided by CCD cameras. This was verified by MATLAB model which is used to test all the procedures and data conversions.
3. Spurious pulses- Spurious signals are unwanted signals which comes from harmonic, inter modulation,or EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference).
4.Glitches - Without peak acquisition a pulse is not generated. Therefore a peak detector is used. This captures a very low duty cycle. This happens when poor soldered joints are used. This causes circuit fail and thus spikes and glitches are formed.
5. Transmission Errors - It is the cause of noise and is defined as driven gear for an given angular position. From position driven gear occupies a good geometry.
Thank you
