Hi Ankit,
It seems you are interested to pursue the undergraduate course in Australia. First of all, all universities have different eligibility criteria pertaining to admissions. But mostly all institutions adhere to similar English Language proficiency test cutoff score/band.
As you know, Australia has the third highest number of international students in the world behind only the United Kingdom and the United States despite having a population of only 23 million. Australia has seven of the top 100 universities in the world with over 22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions. Ideally, the minimum IELTS requirement for certificate and diploma course is 5.5 bands with not less than 5.0 bands in each section. For bachelor degree, overall 6.0 bands are required with not less than 6.0 band in each section. For Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree minimum 6.5 bands are required with 6.0 bands in each section.
So, with 5.5 (Academic) band you can get into vocational courses in Australia; both certificate, diploma level, and also in many university foundation courses. Many vocational diploma courses in and other institutes will give you academic credit towards university programs and you won't need to sit for an English test yet again after you get a diploma and before entering university. In Australia, both IELTS and TOEFL are accepted by education providers as well as the Immigration Department.

Dear Prashant,
Thanks for your query.
Each college/university has own requirements which need to be fulfilled by the aspirants. However, most institutions ask for a minimum band of overall 6.5 and each module(Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking) not less than 6. The IELTS score tests your English language proficiency which will let you know your language skills.
To add to the above statement, there are universities who offer in-house language proficiency lessons for the betterment of the students. Let me cite an example. The Swinburne University of Technology offers the Postgraduate programme in construction management. If you need to improve your English language skills to meet the entry requirements, you can do so by completing an English language course at Swinburne. The courses are offered to international students alone. The English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) is designed to prepare students for a successful career or for direct entry to Swinburne University of Technology. Likewise, there are other institutions which follow the same regulation.
Hope it helps!
Best wishes.
Hello there, can you please provide us with the name of the college so that we can help you to get more information about that college. Please inform us with the full details so that we can help you. Thank you
Hello Aspirant;
In European Universities, No GRE . They focus mainly on the Undergraduate Score and then comes GRE. Most universities don't require GRE score submitted with the application.
However, the universities of United States need GRE. The score around 320 - 330 is considered as a safe score.
If you are a CBSE board student then TOFEL is not mandatory for you. But if you don't then you have to write TOFEL.
Hope it helps.
Thank you.
Hey.
Almost all of the Universities in Canada consider a score of 6.5 and above in IELTS for accepting admissions there. There may be a few exceptions, which accept a score of 6 and above too. But 6.5 and above will be a safer score as it is accepted by almost all the Universities in Canada.
Best of luck!
Hello Aspirant!
Admission into for universities depend on a lot of factors. IELTS is one of them and it is basically to a proof of your proficiency in the english language. Other than that, your academic and co-curricular performances are considered. Even if you had a poor record in the past, but have demonstrated stark improvement in recent times, your chances for getting admission go a bit up. Along with that proper essays, and strong letters of recommendation and a good record of volunteering work increase your chances for getting admission.
Hey,
For taking the IELTS, your minimum age should be at least 16 years & you must have a valid passport.
You will be eligible to take the exam if you fall into one of the categories:
So yes you may give the ielt exam even if you are pursuing bcom and in 2nd year.
Hope this helps.
