IELTS Grade depends which particular program you want to opt as overall 6 band required for bachelor program, overall 6.5 band required for Master programs & Programs related to Dental, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing – some universities require overall 7.0 Band.

I have 55% in my btech. I want to pursue my masters in computer science in canada and my ielts score is 7. Which universities should i try?

First of all, Canada doesnt award MS degree. It is either MASc. which is thesis based research oriented degree or M.Eng which is more of a professional degree. Though your question is a bit incomplete, I am assuming here that you are asking for MASc. degree which is most popular

Hey,
Proving your Language proficiency is important to gain a Canada PR visa as per the requirements stated by IRCC. If a candidate is applying for Canada Permanent Residency, the minimum IELTS requirements are as follow: Express Entry -6 bandsin each module (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking).

your overall score is acceptable but you have less band in reading section.Most universites have there minimum criteria no less than 6 bands in any section. you may get universites but not that good.

if you can improve your bands by retaking ielts go for it because university matters

Thanks for your query. You will be happy to know that there is no age bar/ specified age limit for appearing in IELTS exam.

However, if you want to pursue higher studies in Australia, opt for IELTS(Academic). The exam has two formats, IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.
