Hey there.
It is a fact that major weightage in IAS EXAMINATION is of subjects related to Arts. Specefically - History Political Science Economy Geography environment. And then ofcourse there are optional which has multiple subject including PCB.
if you want to initiate your preparation at an early stage then I might suggest you focus more on humanities as there is a larger scope of understanding things from the examination perspective.
Another thing is that 40 percent of engineering students are usually being selected in the contemporary times so this counters my argument. But still they have a hard time adapting to humanities subject in the beginning.
So to be absolutely sure about your chances of atleast getting used to the pattern of Upsc that is social mostly you must Opt For B.A with subject's of your choice.
This would be my personal suggestions.
If you wish to continue with your subjects then also there is no hurdle that can stop you.
Hope this helps.
Best of luck

Hello there,

All the three subjects are equally important be it physics chemistry or mathematics.

Out of the three chemistry is the easiest to score though you must not take it lightly so you must study well to score good marks. though it is said that physics is very difficult so you need to spend more time studying it. Mathematics is also difficult so you also need to spend time practicing the sums. In short you need to take all the three subjects seriously to get good marks.

Hello,

I think every branch has it's own perks. But I will answer your question easily as per my knowledge and research. The best branch will be CSE as it has many opportunities compared to others. You can do private jobs after graduating and prepare for UPSC at the same time.

Also, this field is easy in comparison with others, it's all about computers and programming. You can prepare for upsc and this field will not consume your most time.

Best luck, do your best.

Thanks.

Dear Aspirant,

You must follow these simple steps:-

1. Check out the syllabus and structure your preparation, made a plan on how you're going to cover the syllabus.

The best thing to help you in this is coaching material from some good institute. They have their material prepared according to the need of the Exam.

2. When the plan is ready, make a schedule. Remember timetable matters a lot for this one year. Be ready to give at least 6 hours per day for the preparation.

3. Solve the questions from question banks and previous year JEE papers.

4. Repeat these steps. Follow --> Learn --> practice.

5. Also keep on revising the stuff every third week. It is also a very crucial step in your preparation.

Thank you.
