Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, Kolkata offers management courses to the students. Admission to all courses is based on the national level entrance exams such as CAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT. Further candidates will have to qualify Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates qualifying the GD and PI will have to pay the requisite fee and get the document verified for IISWBM Admission. For MBA:
- Candidates have to appear for CAT entrance exam.
- Then, candidates have to apply for admission at IIM Admission Committee.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the CAT cut-off score.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at the institute.
- Final selection is based on the performance in CAT, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
For MBA Evening Part Time:
- Candidates have to appear for Management Aptitude Test (MAT)/Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT)/Joint Entrance for Management Test (JEMAT).
- Candidates then have to apply for admission at the institute.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on MAT/CMAT/JEMAT scores.
- Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Group Discussion and Interview

For MSW/PGD:

For Master of Retail Management (MRM):
- Candidates have to appear for CAT/MAT entrance exam.

For Advanced Diploma in Fire Safety Management:

For PGDM Business Analytics:
- Candidates have to appear for CAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT.
- Candidates then have to apply for admission on the institute website.
- If a candidate hasn't appeared for CAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT, he/she has to appear for an Entrance Test conducted by the institute.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the performance in CAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT/Entrance Test.

For Executive PGDM Business Analytics:

- Shortlisting of candidates will be done by the institute.
- Shortlisted candidates have to appear for a Written Test and Personal Interview. Candidates who have cleared NET/SET or equivalent national level examination will be exempted from the Written Test.

IISWBM gets the CAT score of the candidates who have applied for admission into IISWBM from the IIM admission committee. On the basis of a cut-off-mark, the candidates are called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at IISWBM, Kolkata or other centres outside West Bengal.
The final list of the selected candidates is prepared strictly on the basis of merit.
